I’m not hating, but the reason it sounds like a wood bat is because it’s modded. I’ve seen lead off batters flick their wrists and hit 110 exit velocity oppo line up. I don’t get it. 25-26 oz juiced bats and guys flick the wrists and the ball is a seed. I need at 28oz to have a somewhat realistic swing.

Not taking away anything at all from any of these elite softball players and they are all elite and extremely talented ball players no doubt about that. However the technology of the bats and the juiced balls make it so much easier to go yard these days it’s almost like so what. The fact that there are home run limits on games should tell you that. Again I’m not saying these dudes wouldn’t hit a metric shit ton of bombs but the bats and ball’s totally help.

Is it not the opposite of years past these days? They used to to absolute ROCKS with their single and double wall aluminum bats. Since composite became the norm they’ve had to dumb down the balls considerably. I’m fairly certain the balls in this video are 52/275(mushy yet bouncy; not rock hard). They don’t use rocks unless they play in the stadiums.

they have actually dumbed the bats down to protect the pitchers! Bats get checked and the balls have to be a certain type for tourney play.

@@AndrewCrankypants these are 44/375 but your point still stands. Older bats were hotter and balls were harder

@@ezragatton5431 It’s amazing that before I quit, .40s and .52s were the norm and I considered .44s fun to hit. I never got to have fun with the rocks. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Worst kind of batter to field against because you have zero time to track that ball from the outfield. You are forced to play the carom off the wall, if the ball even stays in the ballpark..
