I successfully got a hit yesterday in a tournament doing the cut swing for the first time. It wasn't a bomb but it was low line drive up the middle just past the shortstop. Thank you guys for these videos!

That is awesome, congratulations! Love hearing that our content is helping people up their games. If you have any footage of the swings, send them our way, we would love to see them. Keep up the progress
I completely agree about using a tee. It completely messes me up. I will only hit off my tee if I'm testing balls or bats. But as far as trying to improve hitting, I think it actually hurts me in that instance.
Love it

Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
Man, this guy is a trip. Way back when, like desert west Park days when me and my uncle used to be part of his team, this guy was awesome. Ive seen him use cheap bats hitting bombs. And when s$it got real heated he'd play s.s close to the pitcher with no glove.
Loved the video and picked up a few tips from both guys. I'd hate to play on the left side of the infield against Nino...wow!

They were smoking the ball all over the field. Easy to see why they are high-level ballplayers. Thanks for watching!

Yea, it is really cool. Competing in NAGAAA means a lot to these guys, it isn't just a side hustle for them. Pretty sure Nino's company sponsors the PHX Charlie's Toros (A)!
can you guys do a break down of Mikes swing and mechanics? Trying to completely reinvent my swing and looking for a guy to emulate.

good content guys. I would have liked to see Mike Nino Explain his hand path to the ball. Meaning, Is he pulling on the knob of the bat, or something else. Get video guys, keep it up.

Definitely, we can try and get him to describe and we will make sure to inquire with our next pro about handpath. Thanks for watching!

I understand the tee argument but if you’re like me in an area where most people don’t play or are to lazy it’s hard to get plate time in without a tee or a decently expensive machine
Ninos cut swing is ridiculous.
@LeagueNightSoftball

It really is. What makes it so crazy is that it's effortless.
Awesome video . Do you guys review viewers swings? I’m new to the sport and Ive been watching all your videos and would love some tips

We actually get a ton of requests to review viewers swings. It's actually hard to even respond to them all. However, we have been considering setting up a Patreon where members would be able to get thier swings reviewed by us and members would also have access to see reviews of other members swings. Is that something you would be interested in?

@@LeagueNightSoftball a lot of my teammates tell me I’m keeping my elbows in and and not fully extending so I really need some sort of guidance.
Dang I'm from Southern Illinois too ever heard of Centralia?
Nino can rake.
Awesome concept but needed more detail on how to they do it. Or like a slow motion type thing maybe on a tee. I mean I have an idea it almost looks like a flick
@LeagueNightSoftball
Жыл бұрын
Appreciate the feedback. We will make sure to include that on our next video about cutting the ball. Nino definitely said he flicks the wrists when making contact, but a frame-by-frame breakdown would definitely add details.
I've been practicing the cut swing and really like it a lot. I start with my hands about chest high then raise them up somewhat. I feel like I chop at the ball sometimes. I guess too much of a downward swing plane. Any suggestions to be more consistent besides BP?

I'm FAR from an expert, but I try to connect with the bottom half of the ball and let the physics take over.

Hang in there Mrs. Mahalo. Nino didn't pick the effortless swing up overnight and neither will we, but with some hard work, we can get there! What are you working on right now in your game? For us, it is working the entire field and trying to hit the ball to specific holes. Good luck this season!

What weight bat and endload does nino swing?

@Odd1006

@@miguelrodriguez375ik I am way late but I think I've heard that means the end load is .5 oz. As in, it adds .5 oz to the bat. Not entirely sure if that's right tho.

What is NAGAA?
@LeagueNightSoftball
Жыл бұрын
NAGAAA (North American Gay Amatuer Athletic Alliance) - it is comparable to USA Softball in that they play ASA rules, just a different organization running the tournaments
It's so strange to me that the higher you go in softball, the hotter the bats and balls get. I know they CAN, but I would much rather see them do this with ASA/USA bats under legal compression with .52/300 balls. I'm not even close to a conference player (C/D), and hit ropes with those bats and balls. Just doesn't make sense to me. Awesome content though guys!
@LeagueNightSoftball
Жыл бұрын
The bat used in this video is actually made to ASA specs and we used 52/300 balls. Nino and Dom just hit hard. It's pretty impressive to see in person. These dudes are legit and we are so glad they are happy to share some of thier knowledge with us!
This guy demolished my team in mens league goodyear. His team beat us like 32-6 in 3 innings asa. We were embarrassed. Lol
Shocked you guys don't use a net, but what do I know...
@LeagueNightSoftball

Normally, we would use a net, but these guys were strictly pulling the ball so the risk was lower. Put it this way, neither Cam nor I wanted to pitch, that's for sure!

Bat sounds juiced , you hear difference
@LeagueNightSoftball

Only time will tell I suppose. With the new FIB the Proton's will have, I can't imagine them to be juiced any more than the Monsta's are, and those are def legal. Excited to see what Proton has brewing up
If someone is going to have a video on hitting, why don’t they always begin by mentioning their bat and size they are using. SMH.
