I'm not a veteran with cancer and ptsd and yet I still jam to The Black Parade album by MCR easily. The emo music I listen to isn't meant to represent the singers experience or the audiences experiences, theyre meant to tell a story and you don't have to perfectly relate to a story to want to experience it.

Amazing to see how much of this made it into the full version

Glad my peers and I only went through a 2010s steampunk adventurer phase and no one would make fun of us for that....

On his channel he has an older video styled as a commercial that shows some of the other songs he's working on. Girls Are The Best and Ugliest Girl On The Beach are in it too, and Planet of the Bass is referenced.

This is so unintentionally inspirational because I feel like this guy is inside my head sometime

I think it's more to show that this person is just being an edgy "middle school communist" who doesn't understand the deeper political theory and is currently just raging against the status quo. I've known some people like this in high school, who were also emo and thought themselves leftists, but were just reformists liberals or social democrats who used communist because it's cool and shocking. For them, it's just a phase. One month they're ready to throw bricks at cops and the next they'll say communism is against freedom.
