And about the slaves...Yes (I agree with you) there were black(traitors) people that sold their brothers to Muslims and then to Europeans...But let me correct you, not tribes, a group of people. And...About the Natives Americans. I ask you, did their slaves were Caucasian? They had enslaved themselves and not other ethnicities.

    @John Bold Given the associations with the flag I don't think it's unreasonable to take it as telling the whole town to get over slavery. He was definitely a bigot, I befriended him at a group guitar lesson thing, added him to Facebook, and it was full of racist stuff. Granted he's the only person I've personally known to wave that flag, but my point isn't the frequency, it's that it happens, so the statement of the poem is relevant.

    Caleb Loutzenhiser as terrible as it is that police brutality is a thing, i think what you have to consider is that when those police officers wrongfully killed those white people it wasn’t because they were white. meanwhile, with the black people who were killed it was most likely due to race. and about the job application, there is a study that shows that if you have an “african” or “african-american” name, there is a chance that you won’t be accepted for the job compared to someone who has a “white” name.

  • @jemhasopinions

    @jemhasopinions

    For the first claim, I am going to counter when you said "there is no evidence that those black people were killed by their skin colour" with the shooting of Trayvon Martin. I believe that it was entirely race-driven and that there are cases where it is due to race. As much as I want to believe as well that police brutality to black people is not race-driven, our society proves that sometimes it purely is. Secondly, about job applications, I suggest you read this study and if not, read the abstract of it: www.nber.org/papers/w9873 This explains what she was referencing in the poem and what I was talking about. Even if we live in a western society that is prominently white, this does not excuse big co-operations such as Amazon and CoverGirl to have little to no black people in their executive leaders. Plus, beauty sometimes does not have a factor. I have seen beautiful BAMEs who are gorgeous trying to work at Brandy Melville and get rejected multiple times. As well as that, a majority of the people in our society is average looking. Despite what I just said though, I do believe that prettier people do get an advantage when it comes down to job applications because of the European beauty standards. The European beauty standards cater to the few people, who are normally white, who have features that the general public don't have. It is highly unfair for white people who don't fit them but it is extremely degrading to the BAMEs who don't have those features. I am not going to talk too much about beauty since that is not what we are talking about but I would like to hear your opinion on the study.

I'd have to look it up. So at best the "natives" were just as guilty as the Europeans were. Not to mention the fact that these loosely affiliated tribes were often warring with and slaughtering each other. Again, at best they're just as bad as the Europeans were. _"its not a white nation"_ It is predominantly white though. _"they took over like own shit"_ That doesn't make sense. _"if the shit they do to us happened to them they couldn't handle that shit i promise you "_ What did I do to you? You seem really anti-white and dare I say, "prejudiced'? I'm getting hard racism vibes out of you Zhane. Yes, I'm positing YOU'RE ACTUALLY THE RACIST HERE, not white people. The problem is with you.

    THIS IS NEITHER POWERFUL OR TRUE. English is the language spoken in America since the Pilgrims settled here. The immigrants did not learn our French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese nor German you had to learn English in order to assimilate in the USA. My ancestors were from Denmark and spoke Dutch and did not enforce that the people already living here had to learn how to speak Dutch. We had to learn the language of the land so we had to learn ENGLISH.

We're not done fighting for equity, reparations, equality, justice, and love. Even if we were somehow done and racism was all gone, Black people don't owe us white people a damn thing. Quit whining and start helping. Edit to add: I saw more of your comments on this video and I just have to say your ancestors are rolling over in their graves right now because of your racist behavior here. They fought to free the slaves, right? So in which generation did things go wrong? When did the racism start being taught? How are you going to better yourself so that you and yours will fight just as your ancestors did?

    My ? Is how can racism be reverse racism. Racism is racism. Whether a black person hates white people or a hispanic person hates asians an Asian person hates blacks or if white people hates on blacks. Racist is racist. Reverse racism makes no sense reverse means backing up or going where you came from. Therefore reverse racism would mean the opposite of racism. Which in my mind would be harmony between all races. Just a thought. The problem with races finding harmony seems to be cultural differences, not race in this day and age. Hope the best for everyone, do your best at what you do and dont blame others for your struggles. That is the key to harmony, and self enlightenment.

    I feel so bad for people like you who would rather blind themselves to the problems of this world that are caused by the oblivion to the discrimination of a race, sexual orientation, or beliefs of a person. You go off of the information or images the media projects to you and assume that racism and discrimination against my community is dead. But what the media never shows you is the destruction of the black family and the pain/uncertainty that fear has managed to plant in our culture. I'm not trying to attack you because i realize that there is truly no way you can see just how deep the fear, love and hurt scars us and that is not your fault. I just ask you stop assuming how easy or hard you think we have life here in america by what you've only been told, by others who also don't know or never will know our tears. And until you've seen more bodies that look like your self lying in the street than you can remember, for the sole reason that they happened to "Look" like a suspect, or they "Looked' threatening, when really they were only teenagers trying to get home to their mothers, then you wont ever really understand the truth that no one is willing to tell. ~sorry for the long text i got kind of emotional

    We can't look at our present without looking at our past... Be it African American, Aboriginals, Africa etc... Even as I study economics the very fibre of our economy, living conditions and state of affairs all goes back to history.. Off course current conditions play a huge factor but those are informed by history. It's like psychology to get to the core of someone's issues you have to dig deep into their childhood because therein lays the root of their problem(s).

    the ONLY nations that don't engage in slavery are the WHITE nations. yet you complain about the people who have ENDED slavery??? clearly they just HATE white people and this isn't about legitimate justice. if they want to end REAL oppression and slavery they would go to Africa and preach about ending slavery to hardened African warlords and dictators.. but NAH..they wont do that....they will preach instead to libtard, cucked, brainwashed feminist liberals who have bought this SJW narrative. This woman is a fucking JOKE!.

    Kinda like being openly racist and no one condemns you for it? Or, how about the fact you can blame racism for every inadequacy within your community? Or the fact you can openly ignore your own problems and blame them on other races and people literally side with you? Those seem like some good privileges. Meanwhile, white privilege has no real evidence to support it.
