Something you can do in Logic is create a track stack with the instruments and use the "Transposer" midi effect on each instrument channel to shift the octave up or down. That way you can use one just midi track to control all the instruments at once and you can try out different melodies without having to copy the midi to each instrument, every time you make a change. Finally when you are happy, everything is already setup so you can just collapse the track stack and not have 5 or six instrument tracks taking up screen space.

And put sidechain and other effects on the stack too. It's faster and more straightforward.

  • @CloudMindChannel

The way Kygo is using buses is the same function as summing! The only difference is that you dont "physically" Get a folder in your project! That way you can have all your tracks loose in the project! I always use summing myself tho…. But this is probably the way he likes to work! I think he started to use Logic before summing stacks was a thing actually🤷🏼‍♂️
