ℹ️ About the episode:
The new bus has a CAT 3208 engine. We smile nearly every time it fires up; it smells like childhood. Like Bunny said, the bus is built for comfort. She takes some time to get up to speed-but when she gets there, she can go all day long. But when she hits the hills, cancel your plans! We called the Biltmore Estate to ask if we could arrive after our scheduled tour time with no luck, so we ended up moving our tour to the following day. The visit was worth it. Caleb has seen bigger, but most adults would agree that the Biltmore Estate is as grand as it is stunning! Below are some tips to help you make the most of your visit. Pack a picnic and plan to spend a full day at the Biltmore, George Vanderbilt’s historic country estate. There’s a TON to see here, so come prepared to stay all day. You can tour the house (okay-mansion) itself, plus gardens, a winery, Antler Hill Village, a historic farm, and miles of walking, biking, and hiking trails. There’s even a proper steakhouse for dinner cooked over an open flame.

Caleb is a hoot! And congratulations Carson on his solo flight🙌🙌🙌
Pass a “congratulations” to Carson on his solo flight. Caleb was a hoot this episode with the phone bit. Great episode, thanks!
Oh my goodness you guys! Thank you so much for putting our little Mountain View Campground in Hiawassee, GA. on the map! That's "high - a- wha- see" !!! i’m live in Asheville and this just popped up in my recommended. Glad you guys enjoyed it! The only time i’ve ever been to the Biltmore was during Christmas and you’re right it was insane they put a Christmas tree in every room it’s beautiful.
I saw one clip of Caleb holding Charlie, inside that clever young man is a heart of gold.
Welcome to the feel of driving a loaded big truck up the hills and mountains of NC. I'm a retired truck driver that made many trips through those mountains on with my flashers on. Now you know what those drivers have to go through in the big trucks. Lol! Enjoy your trip and be safe out there. 👍
I solo’d 31 years ago and can remember the feeling of freedom to this day. Congratulations to him.
I live in Georgia. It’s funny to see places that I am familiar with. I love the farmers market you went to. There are a lot of wonderful state parks in the Helen area. I love Asheville and the Biltmore house. It’s amazing to see at Christmas.

I saw them at Jaemor Farms and my first thought was, ‘wow, I wonder where that Jaemor is,’ as I never imagined it would be the one I go to all the time. 😂
So glad you enjoyed your time in the Asheville area. We live in Bat Cave, NC just 30 mins outside Asheville. You have to come back through the area. So much to see and experience. Love watching your adventures in travel.
Brought back wonderful memories before my husband had his massive stroke. Still with me after 5years. We really enjoyed the rocking chairs in front of the fire.
The water standing on your windshield made me nervous! Rain-x! or, better yet, Rain-x wiper blades that have Rain-x in them. They may cost more but, they are great! I have used them for years. We enjoy watching you and your family grow and explore. Thanks for the memories, Well Done!
"High-ah-wass-ee" Carson soloed? Awesome, looks great! That's my bucket list!
I'm the Chauffeur of the big black bus when you first show the Omni Grove Park Inn. Peak Limo.
My favorite Caleb bit will forever be him coming in from the driving rain and then giving the weather report, but the Biltmore bit may be my second favorite. 🤣 He can never grow up!
Carson’s solo flight was very, VERY cool! Congratulations Carson! Can’t wait to see him pilot a fighter jet! Please let us follow more of his incredible journey.

Welcome to the beautiful state of North Carolina! Biltmore wines are pretty good, but you really should check out the restaurant in the old carriage house. It is fabulous!
Congratulations to your son on his solo. My son got his license earlier this year. I got to be his first passenger this past Sunday for a $100 hamburger ride from Grand Rapids to Ludington, MI as a birthday present for my 65th. It was awesome! Proud Dad moment for me.
I have to say that your videos get better by the week. As for planning and save money, we departed MD on June 17 and still traveling across the country and so far, it has not been cheap but it definitely has been rewarding. We are having a blast, thanks again for always putting a classy, funny and always informative video together for us, your audience. Continue to be blessed!!!
Love, love the videos!! This is much better than watching TV 📺 😊
We watch you guys religiously every week! We appreciate the content you put out and taking us on your journeys!

I live in NC and the Biltmore House is a place I have to go to every couple years. When it is decorated for Christmas, it is unbelievable! You really do need to come back to NC and stop in Wilmington!
Missed out on Bryson city and Cherokee.
The last time I was able to spend time with my dad before he passed last March, was there at the Grove Park Inn. It was so beautiful and views spectacular. He took me there for just the views and have a beer with him.

Kaleb has that DiCaprio/East Coast businessman impression down pretty good.
I remember my solo, 57 years ago. What a great feeling!
Omg Caleb on the phone is cracking me up
Well, we finally watched! 😅 The last time we stayed in Asheville, we were at the KOA West. I was meeting up with a guy who had some beautiful sycamore slabs I was picking up for a table build. I was super happy with the location of that KOA, there was an awesome local market/store that had all kinds of goodies, a lot of the products were local. I love going to small places like that, and supporting the small people. I agree with you, the big cities are cool to visit but going to the smaller cities is such a better fit for us. So this next month, we are going to the OBX with our TT! Then at the end of the month, we are going out to Gatlinburg with our TT. Seeing your videos has really been an inspiration to get out there, and see the country. Not be in a hurry. My wife and I really enjoy the content. Can't wait to see what's on the agenda next!

@@debbiem7834 It was quite the trip! Our foster fail Kota goes everywhere with us, cause we love him! We took him to the little dog run around area, and found a dog collar name tag on the bench.. So I called the number on it when I got home, and talked to the owner - they couldn't find that tag. Apparently the dog had gotten into a mushroom or something like that at the campgrpund, got sick, and actually had passed away due to it. Apparently we were meant to go to that campground, to find that tag on the bench. I can't imagine what they went through. But I am glad that I was able to send that to their house, in memory of their little pooch.
Marc, I'm under the impression the engine in The Bird is not equipped with a Turbo & Intercooler. That is the only way your going ng to get more power/ speed. Not sure if it can be retrofitted, but I would suggest you check into it. Thanks.

Western North Carolinian here and we’re so glad you enjoyed your time in the Asheville area! P.S. Highlands is indeed lovely, but Waynesville is even better (and less challenging terrain to drive through to reach it, too!). Happy to give suggestions on anything and everything outdoorsy if you make it back this way! 😊
I like Caleb's "snooty walk" intro. He has such a great sense of humor. Great video, as always. Thank you
Love see y’all in my backyard! North Georgia is fantastic! And as a lot of folks already commented, Caleb had me rolling while you toured the Biltmore. 👏🏼

so last bit, Marc is rocking the KYD Trucker Hat.....am rock'n mine up here in Stratford, ON......love the Hat, Love the Channel!
Need some Rain-X on those windows!!
We need a second video on Wed. Just a short teaser will work. Just lovin' this trip.
I’m just going to put this out there. Caleb and his crazy querks, and comments are the best ever. I look forward to his antics!
Don’t forget the Billy Graham Library, down the street from the Omni
Long time viewer since May of 2016, your maiden voyage to Sedona....all the kids and Maddie on board. It's been great to watch your kiddos grow and fly the nest....only Caleb left on board now. And what memories you have made. Sure have enjoyed the ride and looking forward to more. We live in Temple not far from Tricia's dad. We had dreams to travel in retirement and had purchased a fifth wheel and Duramax truck...made a couple of trips but back injury late in my career as a locomotive engineer caused us to have to table that dream. A younger couple bought our entire rig and hopefully are now retired and enjoying it. We do some traveling but not the RV lifestyle we so enjoyed during our younger years, so thanks for letting us travel vicariously through your channel. Looking forward to more adventures as you Keep Your Daydream!
I am leaving for my trip on Monday I can’t wait to see if I ran into these wonderful people I am driving all the way from Orlando Florida to Lake Erie
The Biltmore House !!! Been going there since I was a kid. What a treat. Glad you guys got to see it
Biltmore at Christmas is the best. Congratulations to Carson on his first solo. I remember mine like it was yesterday but it was in 1984. What an awesome feeling. Safe travels and hope you enjoyed my home state of NC. Come on back when you can stay awhile.
Laughter is so good for a person, keeps you young at heart. That's why I watch you guys every week. Caleb you cracked me up on this one. Would have loved to see how those sweet potatoes came out. What was the brand on the air fryer? I'm looking for a good one.
OMG, Caleb is hilarious!!!!
I love how committed Caleb was to the phone bit! He's gotta get on Saturday Night Live!!
Congrats Carson. I remember my first solo in Cessna 150 in 1983 and my stomach was in knots. Another great KYD adventure.
My home town. Nothing like the magical smokies. I lived in Colorado as well for a number of years and the smokies just have some kind of mystical energy that I missed when I left! Hope you guys enjoyed!!
Wow, amazing locations. And that boy, he is too much. So funny. It's wonderful you're getting this special time to really enjoy him alone and as a person.
21:37 You guys are finally going to my home state. If you come back through Virginia on the western side of it, here are some places I have enjoyed that I would recommend: Greyson Highlands, Breaks Canyon, and Shenandoah National Park.
Another fun video , if you head further north Delaware/Maryland area you should check out Lums Pond state park - full hookups, a zip line course and you could checkout Chesapeake City a cute little town with an interesting history
I wish ya'll would of filmed in Helen. I was planning a trip there.. but still enjoying the videos..

Best way to spend your night is with a little KYD!! Love yall 3000!
I used to live in GA and both Helen, GA and Highlands, NC are wonderful. Helen has a great inner tubing activity to do that’s super fun. Great waterfall hikes too. Adorable town and very quaint. Highlands, NC is amazing and has lots of fun places to eat that are off the charts delicious-very foodie and lots of shops and beautiful hikes. They have a little winding calm water way that you can canoe on or take a paddle boat to that has a waterfall coming out of the house itself. Super beautiful. Depending on how you drive up - one side has 7 cascading waterfalls as you drive up and the other side has beautiful skyline views to stop and check out. The town of Highlands is at the top. We definitely want to go back there. It’s magical.
So much fun this season watching your family travel in your one of a kind rig.

Sorry for all the rain! We’ve had a lot of rain here in NC this year. And now it’s super hot too! Lucky us!
Hey Trish, yes the winery is open to the public. Spent two weeks at the biltmore estates hotel for our honeymoon and visited the winery 🍷 😀 most days. It's just down the hill from the hotel. Walking back up with a nice wine buzz was great laughs. They had an excellant jazz band with a singer that was soooo , hmmm, amazing 👏 😉. You must go back. We love Ashville! So nice to see all our old haunts. Thank you
Such a great video. I'm always amazed and enlightened at your family adventures! Gonna check this out for sure!
I absolutely love this video...seems so nostalgic....the music and how you all act in it....just love it...watched several times...!
“Isn’t that great Charlie? Isn’t that great?” Charlie: “I WANT SOME PLEASE!” 🤣 🐶

Welcome to NC! Come back and stay a while to enjoy true Southern hospitality. Christmas is absolutely stunning at Biltmore! I can't tell you how exciting it is to see a place we love through the eyes of other people. I waved as you came past Greensboro! :D
Enjoyed the video! That part of the country is beautiful!
I love the Biltmore house and I am so glad you went there. The Grove Park Inn is another favorite of mine. We like to go there over Labor Day weekend to end our summers. Thank you for letting me relive some great memories.
We were at the bill ore during the Christmas holidays ant it was fabulous. Would love to go back when the flowers are in bloom. Great video.
If you put RainX on your windows, you will be amazed and how much better you can see out your windows when it is raining. The harder it rains, the better it works. Walmart has it.
Wow! Even though we pull our trailer all over these roads all the time, it was kind of a nail biter just watching you with the Bird! Love the Grove Park and the Biltmore! Cool!
LOL I could watch Caleb for days. He definitely needs his own spinoff channel one day! And I love how he is an exact photocopy of Trish in both looks and personality. He is her own little mini-me. I love that!
Caleb knocked this episode out of the park!! You have a pilot son and an amazing daughter. 👏 love you all!!

Nicely done ...... *Variety show at it's Best Ever* !! Beautiful 'drop-in' towns so quaint but also Grand Biltmore!
