My mother also had Gilbert Syndrome by proxy. She was extremely Catholic (as Dee Dee was) and there was a lot of gaslighting and abuse behind closed doors. I hope no one blames Gypsy for taking part in this act, as in my case and I imagine her case, my mom would cry, tell me I was in denial, and call her friends to pray for me in front of me to convince me I was sick. You can see Dee Dee in this video hawking her daughter when she speaks to make sure she's a good puppet and doesn't give up the act.

1:06 this makes me so, so deeply heartbroken knowing what was going on behind the scenes at home. gypsy has had a terrible start to life. i hope now she's out of prison that she can finally heal from her past trauma and regrets and have fun and do all the things she never could as a child/young adult.

IT IS THE PERFECT TOWN, THE PERFECT PLACE... TO CON INNOCENT PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING OUR LIES! Gypsy was 23 when she last visited Disney land with the help of a charity.

Something tells me, this release won’t end up all rainbows and unicorns.If Gypsy isn’t required to continue mental health treatments and appoint someone to check in with and work with her-it’s a big mistake.

Notice how they NEVER turned down a tv interview or any free trip/ event. A truly sick person wouldn’t be able to do all that stuff all the time. They never once canceled anything. They never were like “ oh we can’t do it gypsy is too sick or in the hospital.” Nope. Turn the cameras on or give them something free and they’d always be there.

I finished watching The Act for a second time and came to KZread to fall in this hole again. Despite the physical, mental, and emotional abuse that Dee Dee did to Gypsy.. it’s not a reasonable excuse to plan and plot her mother’s death. Again, awful what Gypsy went through but not an excuse to kill someone.

You can hear the pain and scared little girl in her voice. Her mum got away with it easy she got murdered when she should of got life in prison. Gypsy is free and I hope she has a happy free healthy life ❤

@@japanfanatic1415 No she did not, evidence proves she knew. In one interview she says she was happy to find out she was not sick months AFTER her arrest. Yet couple years later, UNDER OATH, NIck's trial, she said she knew at least two years prior.

This community did so much for her! It would be the tight yhing on her part to pay them back in some way.

OMFG, you can catch what GRB is talking about at the very beginning like 8 seconds in ( 0:08 ), as soon as DDB squeezes GRB's hand that she's holding with her thumb pressing into GRB's hand from the top, gypsy smile immediately goes away and she shuts down out of fear and goes silent. The amount of fear she had for her mom throughout her life would have been nothing short of constant agonizing torment. Though i do not at all condone or agree with how she manage to escape that horribly abusive situation with her mom, i'm relieved to know that she's finally successfully escaped and completely out of it now. I just wish more people in gypsy's life like her family, CPS/DFS , any of her many doctors, or any of her community of donors watching her story would have been able to see more signs of it so that they could have helped her and she could have known they would have helped her. In that way, she would have not just known but been reassured in believing that she had other options.

When I watched this I felt so sad but happy at the same time, gypsy got out yay, she’s happy and has a husband but at the same time, she killed her mother, well, she “helped” but her mother didn’t have to give her all the medication she didn’t need, I know she was getting money but is that a reason to put your own daughter in a wheel chair for 13 years? Plus if her mother kept doing that over, and over gypsy would’ve probably died.. so her mom had it coming, but she could’ve handled that a whole different way. That’s my opinion, thank you for reading
