When I was a kid just left school in 93 I bought a 1981 yz80 all race tuned and that little thing could just say keep up with a kx100, was a fast little thing.

Some people say an 85 is wayy too small for a man, yet they rip on pitbikes lol I love 85s because they are perfect for all places, tracks, forests and smaller plots. Some 250s etc you usually dont have the space to open them up, on the uk and ireland at least Actually suprised the pitty done so well keeping up lol

Got me looking at kx85s now ... great video. Definitely going to buy the kx now after seeing that

Had an YZ85 years ago. 2004. Our lass followed in the car wanted to see it's top speed. was around 75-80mph. was FQ. Had a 160 Red Baron pitbike. [ dogs bollocks ] back in the day. Import from US. and No pitbike will keep with any well maintained 80-85cc 2 stroke.

I want one of them demon 170 that's why I watched this vid.. but I can tell you now there is no way it could keep up with a 85 they are rapid asf***

I'm 15 buying a first bike roughly 1.7m tall do you think the 170 would be good in terms of size and power?

Its a pit bike they won't fit like a glove, power is quite pokey on the 170 and quite adequate for what it is I personally think. 170 if honest not the best starter bike but is a good bike, needs tlc but otherwise good mine has been decent

MOTO MACHINEZ UK Winchester Hampshire there’s many trails and it goes for around 6 miles of disused ww2 train line with lots of trails and pit bike tracks I ride a 80 husqevana with bigs and also rag a Polaris rzr down there

Yeh I know it's great little reliable bike. Had a yz 85 once and that never let me down either. Interesting that two strokes produce some much tower with little cc compared to 4 stroke Cheers glad you enjoyed

That kx is fucking fast

The KX 85 rides like a real bike and comfortable to ride. Pit Bikes ride like dog shit. All stiff like riding a BMX with an engine. Also at that weight the rider should be on at least a 250CC. Probably be best on something like a KTM EXC 300.

Great bikes I've just blown a 2002 kx80 got it on video to and then snapped Kickstarter very fast bikes for what they are

tomtom7776666 it never has gone much faster but bullers wpb170 has much more top end. It has enough torque to have smaller sprocket on the back tho. I don't think that 85 is standard well defo has a exhaust system. Apparently the 2016 engine has a lot of improvements. Cheers mate

Brother Banks I think the 160 is a good bike to start with. But the 125 is a lot cheaper and that's a great starter bike. Its smaller than the 160. Big wheelers are a lot better in open fields.

People thinks its only an 85 then loop it. I notice adults with small legs like these yes enough power if can ride it correctly for adults, savage for 12 yr olds. This was the new revamped kx engine with over 20percent increase apparently 😐

Moral to the story is: If you want to get a pit bike, just buy an 85. Same size, way faster and can get parts a lot easier.

The pit bike should be around 15hp - 19 hp the kx should be around 28hp - 32hp if I remember correctly,, slight different depending on the year of manufacture and aftermarket parts
