KX250 2-Stroke FIRST RIDE!

It had been quite a while since I was on a 2 stroke so I took Derek Hallman up on his offer to ride this 2005 KX250 he had purchased recently. I just came across some of this footage from a few months ago and thought the channel needed some 2 stroke content. This thing was fast and sketchy to ride, to say the least.

It was strange to say the least. With some modern suspension it would probably be quite fun for real
I would have loved to have ridden that bike and seen how the powerband was forreal. Sick vid as always Mills 🤘

It was very strange but I kinda got the feel for it after a few laps. You need to ride Dawsons… good lord dude…

Despite that sketchy false neutral jump you rode it well dude! The forks on that bike sucked and desperately needed a revalve. I also always felt just slightly out of control on that beast haha I kinda miss it... but enjoy the yz250f I bought a lot more. Want another 250 smoker again tho 😭 any two strokes in your future or are you a fart cannon 4 lyfe kinda guy?

I would like to have another 2 stroke but I don’t think I would ride it a lot to be honest. I think I’ll stick to riding my friends 2 strokes when I get the urge haha. A buddy of mine has a 150 I need to ride.

That's interesting, i've never rode a four stroke.
Yamaha definitely had the better suspension back then....and probably now as well. Those new YZ125's and 250's are stupid fun to ride.

@@cameronhaynes4487i have a 04 kx250 set up for the woods and i love it with all my heart, highly recommend. If i ever had the money for a new ktm300xcw, id keep the KX too. As far as which one is the best, doesn't matter. Pick a color. 250 2 strokes do not disappoint.
