Thank you for the great Kwaj tour. I lived there from 66 to 69 and can finally share with friends and family. Dad was a civilian doctor and that took us to many islands.

I lived there from 1972-76. Some of the best times of my life. It's nice to see how things have changed after all these years. Most of us will never have the opportunity to go back to visit. This is the next best thing. Thank you.

Hey, I was here in 1955. Second grade, also received my First Communion here. We had a duplex right on the beach which had a pavilion and picnic tables. Used to go shelling every day. Still have a lot of the shells from that area. Also received my First Communion there, now no boat in front of the church. Learned to ride my bike there also, my dad was a search and rescue pilot Things sure have changed, but love to look at the video, thanks for sharing! .

Great video! I left Kwaj in 2001 and I still recognize every part of this video! With the exception of the skate park, and some of the newer buildings, it's exactly as I remember it when I was in high school out there!

I went to high school there from 98-01 and worked at the rich (family outdoor theater), the fire station (data entry), the yuk (adult theater), the pro shop at the golf course, the bowling alley AND the teen center. Lots of teen jobs! Lived on Heliotrope. Need to scan the video again didn't see my street there! Thanks again! - Justin Farmer

I lived there in the early 60's and you could not find a place without a person! We had over 6000 men without families and over 400 families. We were a family of 7 to begin with down to 5 after I left after 2+ years Mom and Dad did two tours that added up to 11 years. Our cousin went there with SAR Navy - in the middle 50's. Brother went there with MIT/Lincoln labs and lasted through Typhoon Zelda. I dream of going back some day, but know it is to late to ponder it. I should mention - the extension on both islands had not started in 63. Martin Eastburn

My office that building on the right, halfway down the runway. It was the Kwajalein Weather Station providing meteorological support for missile range operations & ICBM multiple warhead testing program. It was great using bikes for everyday transportation and who could not love the outdoor movie theater. Ice chest & beers were the normal snacks on movie nights.

I didn't see the section of Ocean Road where I lived from 1972-1975. We were across from Pine Street and George Seitz school and next to the Teen Center. Or did I miss it? By the way, the "Ivey Fittess Center" was the Ivey Hall movie theater in my day.

My friend Douglas Beverly was there during those years, although he was a contractor but had just got out of Air Force 10 years deal, and still had secret clearances, so they hired him quickly, and he would call me always saying how bored he was, but his family was stateside, so that's probably why, he was a a missile specialist in Air Force, but eventually sat in office all day behind computer, basically did same thing there on island he said.

I was a peace corps volunteer in the early 1980’s and a fellow peace corps volunteer came to Kwajalein via Ebeye on a microchip and we had to take an airplane back to Majuro via Kwajalein. At the airport we were put in a small waiting area where we were told we had to stay for ten hours. Well being young we jumped a fence and went on a jumbo budget. We went to the PX, the yoke yuk club. We had a blast until we returned and security read us the riot act. Of course neither of us had passports or documents and were accused of being Russian sailors off of “Brand X”. Must of been a slow security day. Lol Me and my fellow volunteer who had not seen each other in 8 months and had lived on islands without electricity or running water thought we died and went to heaven that day in Kwajalein
