As dawn arises, Sri Krsna assists Srimati Radharani in adorning herself.
He anoints her eyes with black khol and her feet with red kumkum.
He assists her in putting her earrings and bangles on. She watches him in her mirror as he braids her hair adorning it with flowers buds and his very own peacock feather.
Is this pastime we see Krsna enraptured by Radhas devotion towards him. It’s so beautiful that even though he is the Supreme Personalty, he does what seems like menial tasks for her because she is the queen of his heart.
No task is too small for Bhakti. No task is too small when offered with love and devotion.
And just like Krsna adorns Radharani, queen of his heart, similarly we adorn our own spiritual lives with practices of devotion to the divine Sri Krsna, king of our hearts.
I request that we allow ourselves to enter into the deep meditation of these verses from the Sri Geeta Govinda and enter into the forest of Vrindavan where we are fully present in the sweet and playful pastime of Radha and Krsna.
