Kurt Russell Shares Disney Memories And More | Disney Files On Demand
In a once in a lifetime live interview for Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Legend Kurt Russell shares stories of filmmaking, winemaking and his personal moments with Walt Disney.
Russel was one of Walt’s favorite young actors and has gone on to star in more Disney films than any other actor or actress worldwide.

I think Kurt Russell is one of the most down to earth people in Hollywood. Goldie Hawn and him seem like such a great couple. I agree, I could listen to his stories for hours. He has had a great life and has entertained me for quite some time. I wish there were more people like him in this world.

This is absolutely true that he is very down to earth. Ive been flying out of Santa Monica airport for years and I would talk to him very regularly for hours it seemed. This video totally reminds me of those convos! He's extremely charismatic and LOVES to talk and tell stories. He would sit at the FBO with me and some other pilots and talk airplanes and aviation and we would forget its Kurt, just another aviator, Just a group of pilots swapping stories then it would hit you...WAIT... thats Kurt Russell! lol

Kurt Russell one of the best Actors over the last 5 decades, isn’t afraid to step out of comfort zone and take roles on... we often talk a lot about the great actors De Niro, Pacino etc but I feel we don’t talk enough about Kurt a real cool, brilliant and genuine actor! AFI needs to honour this man!

True. Very few actors have any where as wide of a range as Russell. Who would believe that Jack Burton and Snake Plisken could be played by the same actor?

Kurt is slightly older than I am so I had the opportunity to grow up watching his films. I like most of them. A more recent role that really impressed me was 'Bone Tomahawk'. He played a character unlike any I had seen him do before. I totally forgot it was him playing the character.
Fess Parker wines are top notch. I will try Kurt wines now.

A real Role model. When i was a kid, saw him play wmi pro Baseball. He always signed autographs for kids (me)! TY Kurt for being a cool guy.

Dont have a lot of respect for "actors", count on one hand those I do respect. Mr. Russell has earned my respect for being a genuine person who is unpretentious or full of himself. Far superior actor than nimrod Niro.

i still remember staying up at night and watching disney vault, there was an episode with him running around disneyland with a boy band and a lady and going on the Haunted Mansion ride
Very nice but we need the rest of the Disney animated series on DVD: Wuzzles, Gummi Bears, Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, The Muppet Show, Muppet Babies and if possible Herman's Head and Pacific Station.
The Barefoot Executive is such a cute movie. Also stats John Ritter.

I love this interview! Great perspective. It could have gone either way for Kurt- baseball or acting, it tells a lot about Walt how he supported his dedication to his team mates while shooting a moving ….a lot for a 13 yr old kid!
a bottle of wine is like his movie The thing, everyone hated it at first but then many years later people love it.
Russell has never really been given his due as an adult actor. It seems like the Disney part has keep the populace from taking him seriously. Yet movies like "Soldier" have certainly proven otherwise. It's good to see at this stage in his career, he can have fun with the whole "Christmas Chronicle" series. His wine is his passion(and Goldie).....so cool.

Lesson of story at 12:06 -- W. Disney knew it was in the studio's best interest not to sabotage the day's shoot by saying something confrontational on Monday morning. I would bet WD had phoned Russell's agent while the 13-year-old star was in the make-up room.

I'm guessing that you're referring to an episode of The Wonderful World Of Color titled "Dad, Can I Borrow The Car?". He's the narrator of that episode but never appears onscreen. You can watch it online. ( My favorite moment in the show was the parody used car tv commercial for "Mighty Misdemeanor Motors").

Walt Disney wrote Kurt Russel as his last words, was it because he kew he would pass soon? Was it becouse he wanted kurt to be the Face Of Disney, and potentially C.E.O.? Think he would have been better then any C.E.O. after Roy, and a heck of A Face Man for Disney!
