I remember hearing the Phoenix Lights (really all of Arizona) stories, and back then they reported a private pilot had seen the lights, but no name was given. Having that finally be revealed as Kurt Russell as that pilot, just adds more to how real this event was. Kind of dismisses "flares" being the culprit over Sky Harbor Airport. Now if only the pilots in the 2006 Chicago O'Hare sighting would come out as a group.

It's really admirable how Kurt just accepted Oliver & Kate as his own children right away. He was the biggest moviestar in the world back then, and could've found any women he wanted. But Kurt chose to become part of a family, and few would've done that in his shoes. I guess he really loved Goldie Hawn, and her kids as well. Kurt Russell is a rare breed in Hollywood these days. He is a good guy, and there is no bs with him :)

Love Kurt Russell! I saw UFOs in 1967 just outside my home. It was a Summer night, our home was in a small suburban development about 8 miles from a small airport just outside Atlanta. There were no street lights and We were far away from, any city lights. As we were outside about 9 pm visiting with our neighbors, we looked up and saw about 6 lights in formation in the sky. We called the small airport to report it, and they had no other reports. There were about 6 of us all watching it for about an hour, until it disappeared. The interesting thing is that we weren't alarmed or afraid, just an interesting phenomenon. We never spoke of it to each other again.

@SirVixIsVexed My girlfriend's family is from Phoenix and her father stood right underneath this thing as it came over. I have no idea what to make of it, but he is adamant that it wasn't from around here. I asked him why he thought that and he said it was because of the flying capabilities and the size. There was no engine sound, no propellers visible, no sound, nothing. He estimated the size to be at least two football fields wide. When he first told me this, I thought he was crazy. Then I saw the governor talk about this and now I don't know what to believe lol.

Hey Liam, I was an investigator for Arizona MUFON at the time. Our lead investigator was on it. Those lights you see in the video are flares released too high by the Maryland National Guard that were on a training exercise that night at the flare range just outside of Phoenix. Military air units all over the world fly to Phoenix to use it. Those lights in the video are explained. What is not explained is a triangular object seen by many over the greater Phoenix area that night. I interviewed the pilot on the Discovery Channel documentary about the Phoenix Lights who was in his car and saw the craft travel over his head. So, a lot of things were going on that night in Phoenix.

I live in Edinburgh and I was with my dad. We were driving through the countryside in the afternoon going to visit my aunt and uncle we were having a conversation until my dad stopped and said look there’s a ufo look at that jokingly, I looked and their I couldn’t make it out but there was something flying and it literally just stopped as if it was hovering for a minute or two. I kept my eyes on it and literally there was a flash, the best way to describe it was like blinking except it was a pure white flash then it was gone. My dad had to hard brake because he got a fright, he is a very safe driver and was focused on the road not looking at it but it effected his vision as well. Very strange and true story.

That is definitely weird. I saw a series of lights making impossible movements years ago while driving home. I stopped my vehicle actually, because it was so unbelievable. I emailed a coworker right then and there, but then I didn’t think about it until 10 years later when I saw reports of sightings from the same area. My coworker and I never spoke of it, but the fact I didn’t even think to ask her what she thought about it - and that I didn’t think of it again for a decade is trippy. To know that has happened to others makes it even more strange.

One of the nicest things I've ever heard anyone say about anyone else came from Kate Hudson while talking about Kurt. Kate was on David letterman and he asked her about her relationship with Kurt and her biological father Bill Hudson. Kate said, "Bill is my father..., but Kurt is my dad." That's sweet. By the way..., in the beginning of the movie 'Soldier', when you see the boys running across the hillside and the one kid in front carrying the flag? When I first saw that scene and that kid I said to myself, "Damn, good casting, he looks like Kurt". That was Kurt's son Wyatt. Last bit of Kurt trivia..., Kurt's dad, who lived here in Maine, had his pilot's license signed by one of the Wright brothers, his was number #50-2. Lastly, and this is kinda' cool, once this guy'd been chatting for a while with someone and they got along, they both liked hiking, fishing, and flying, you know, guy stuff. So, they agree to meet up and hang out for the weekend and get the fishing poles wet. The guy goes to the small airport, the plane lands, and Kurt Russell steps out. That would be cool.

Tommy Nikon..60 sightings...wow. I've had one sighting, and it was broadcast on live local TV during a 10PM newscast. It was an array of triangular shaped lights, very similar to the Phoenix lights. They were off in the distance so the camera crew couldn't tell if the lights were attached to an object or not. Our local Air Force base released a statement saying that they had no idea what the lights were.

What about that time his quick reflexes allowed him to smash the hell out of a 145 year old Martin 6 String that was worth a cool $40,000. Well, that was what it had been appraised at for insurance but considering it was the only one like it in existence that price should probably be higher. They say Jennifer Jason Leigh still gets the shakes when she thinks about it.
