More stupid idol worship, I think Kurt Russell has made some good movies and I think he's a pretty decent actor,but that's where it ends for me, I don't pretend to know Kurt Russell or what kind of person he is or what his emotional state of being is because that is all goofy speculation and we know nothing about these people except what they choose to show us. Your claim as to Kurt Russell being the best actor or whatever is subjective and no one is wrong if they don't share your taste in actors or movies, I wish adults would stop acting this way.

A friend of mine met him once. My friend worked at Space Camp, and Kurt sent his kid there one year (this was in the mid 80s). One of his jobs was to shuttle the kids back and forth to the airport to pick them up and drop them off before/after their stays at Space Camp. He'd hang around the group of kids until everyone was picked up, to make sure they all were "supervised" until handed off to their parents or whoever. When Kurt came to pick up his kid, my friend of course recognized him, and got a moment to engage him in conversation. He was indeed a very down-to-earth and "normal" person, and quite pleasant.

I hope everyone realizes Kurt's sarcasm is beyond comprehension.

Totally agree. I love the fact that he's gotten to that point in his career where he only takes roles that pique his interest, and that he has this legendary status as a consummate professional. I read somewhere that when he agreed to do 'bone tomahawk' they picked him up everyday in a jalopy, he never made any kind of primadonna demands or anything. And love the way he stands his ground on stuff he believes in....

I grew up in the 60s and saw everything Kurt did for Disney. Even as a youngster, he brought memorable characters to the films. No matter what character he played, it was based on some aspect of himself. Even when he went of the top (Escape from N Y, Big trouble in little china) he would nail the character perfectly. His character in "The Thing" was superb.

Such a legend, yet so humble about himself. Guys like him are the ones who last forever in Hollywood.

I'm still amazed at how young they made him look without cgi. He's aged incredibly well, well enough to do Snake again.

Damn, this is the first time I can recall seeing Kurt Russel interviewed, he was a staple of so many classic films for me growing up, and it's so fucking awesome that it turns out he's smart, he's adroit, he's funny. You know what it's like, you see a celebrity who's work you enjoy interviewed and it turns out they're a dummy, or they're boring. Well not here. Fuck yeah Kurt Russel, you're a bit of a legend

The real story here is that Chris Pratt is such an amazing human being that Kurt Russell can deliver that in perfect dead pan and EVERYONE knows he’s joking.

I had to do a double take at the beginning of the movie when they made Kurt look 30 years younger. Amazing.

actually, the CG dept did exactly what they did with Michael Douglas in Ant Man. They de-aged him from NOW, but that produces something that looks like it would be the face the current face came from, but in fact is not. de-agged, they both kinda look like Ken dolls......instead of young Kurt Russell & Michael Douglas.

Kurt Russell is my favorite actor. From The Thing to Christmas Chronicles, I think he owns every character he plays. Big Trouble in Little China, Escape movies, everything he does is just awesome.

Love that he's still with Goldie after all these years. They never got married, but maybe that's why they never broke up. I heard every year on their anniversary Goldie fills their home with presents for Kurt and then leaves the house for the entire day. It's so eccentric but in a really cute kind of way that I want to believe it. True or not, whatever they're doing together it's obviously working for them.

Is Kurt the only actor that has been a movie and television star his entire life? He's gotta have endless on-set stories.

That was actually my second best, (old navy). I wore the best one (banana rep.) to the Chris Pratt interview. In hindsight probably should have done it the other way around.

If they ever make a Metal Gear Solid movie while Kurt Russell is still alive and active, it would be legendary if he played a role in it. Even a cameo would be awesome. The problem would be making a good movie, which seems like the ultimate challenge when it comes to videogame adaptations.

The commentary tracks for The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China are awesome. Kurt Russel is down to Earth and funny, not to mention a talented actor as others have pointed out.

Always liked Kurt Russell. One of my favorite actors and seems like a genuine good dude.

It’s hard to imagine that he could pull it off, but Kurt played the most incredible version of Santa Claus🎅🏻 I’ve ever seen. The Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2 were both awesome with Kurt at the helm. He brought a style of Santa as amazing as Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker in Dark Knight. He is a sensational actor, and it’s great to see him still going strong after all these years. I’m not much of a fan of many actors or actresses anymore, but I always do enjoy watching Kurt perform. Oh, and it was also great to see his wife, Goldie Hawn playing Mrs. Claus. What a great couple!

i love that he didn't bring it back with a "Just kidding". just left it hanging out there. and as to the god character, i think of that aspect as more of a greek, or roman, or viking sort of god. imperfect, foibles, vulnerable, not the one omni-everything type of god.

Just watched Tombstone today for probably the 100th time. I'm pretty sure I own every movie on DVD/Blu-ray that Russell's ever been in and he NEVER disappoints! Kurt's Dad, Bing Russell owned a minor league Baseball team known as the Portland Mavericks in the late 70's and Kurt actually played for the team as a DH.

Every time I see him pop up in a movie, it instantly gets bonus points. I don't know what it is, but I really enjoy watching him... and still haven't seen a movie with him in the main role.

Kurt is a terrific guy all around. I remember him in his early Disney years playing the teenager next door. He took on the part of Snake to break that boy next door image he had. PS: I would KILL to have his hair!

Old Man from Scene Twenty Four oh yea! I remember that one! And it's possible to have hair like that at his age. I'm going on to the 57 years of existence and I still have better hair than a lot of 21 year old dudes. And haven't had to dye the gray out yet, which is surprising since pop and uncles were silver before their 50's.

I remember when Kurt Russell was a child on Gilligan's Island. Too many Moons have passed since then. He played a Jungle Boy I believe.

I love this guy. Always taking these things with a grain of salt, and laughter.

Overboard, Tombstone, Quinton T movies!, the Fucking Thing!!!! And my very favorite and most underrated from him... Bone Tomahawk (scariest and best western ever!) Loved it! Kurt please keep going in movies... we all love you!

Kurt Russell is (and has been) one of my most-favorite actors for 40-years! While I didn't care for his early 'Disney stint', starting with Carpenter's 'The Thing' (I actually saw it, before I saw 1981's 'Escape from NY'), his ability to bring depth, manliness and humor to even the most-horrific cinema role just absolutely awed me! Can't imagine the humor of being in their house (Kurt and Goldie)...gotta be as bad or worse than my own!

I’ve always enjoyed anything with Kurt Russel in it. He’s awesome.

So few can do the range of acting he's done, and pull it all off perfectly, and still seemingly remain level headed.

I remember going to go see Escape From New York and EVERYBODY was thinking "yeah right, Dexter Riley as a badass, this should be amusing."

I figured he was joking around about Pratt. Pratt reminds me too much of Kurt in the 80s

Kurt Russell is such a legend. He was awesome as Ego, can't wait for the digital release so that I can laugh my way through the movie again.

Kurt Russell is soooo awesome as an actor and way, way underrated - in my opinion.

Not only is he a fantastic actor, but he has charisma and kindness

Wow, I watched both interviews (Kurt Russell and Chris Pratt. I've liked Kurt Russell since I first saw him in Disney shows way back in the '70s. Then he did Escape From New York. Kurt Russell really changed gears, and I loved it. Chris Pratt seemed to admire Kurt Russell the same way that I did, and Russell complimented him, but then he kind of slammed him. I hope Chris changes his tune, and they get to see each other one day in the future. Kurt is awesome, and I know that his words hurt Chris. I hope it motivates him to become a serious actor because I like Chris Pratt.

Ran into Kurt Russell with his son once in Westwood in the early ‘80s...yep, he had this same hair style then too. Great guy. Down to earth. Great sense of humor.

I grew up watching Kurt. He is one of the family as far as I am concerned.

One of the great actors never fully rewarded, have seen him in so many different roles which overall have all been well played and very funny
