It may be the weakest one in the franchise but Jack Black's cover of Britney Spears's "Baby One More Time" was super dope that it became one of the greatest thing that's ever happened to this franchise so for that, i'm grateful that this movie existed. I've been listening it since the cover came out, oh my lord it sounds so good. Might be better than the original tho 😅

I know people say Shifu should've become the next spiritual leader, but he wasn't suited for that. Po eventually settled into the role naturally, Shifu kept trying to push him just because of what Oogway said. His wisdom was flawed.

yeah it was such a bad backstory

The animation was cool, especially when the chameleon transformed. The way they handled the absence of the furious five was weird. They kept reminding us that they're not there. This movie was entertaining but lacked character development.

because it is somewhat inclined backwards, although in the first film they were not seen exactly upright in the fight to define

EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING!

The red panda was named before the giant panda was, technically pandas actual name is giant panda cause they didn't believe pandas were bears and more closely related to red pandas, cause not only are they found in the same region and they both weirdly eat almost exclusively bamboo (although different parts of it), but pandas are freeking weird, their babies are like the size of a mouse hairless without eyes, they usually have 2 but can only care for one given the way they come out, so they come out screaming and flopping around and the one that gets picked up is the lucky one, they got weirdly short legs and literally couldn't walk up stairs, and they do roll around to travel, they have a carnivors digestive system but diet of a grazing animal which have 4 stomachs to be able to live off something like bamboo, which also is similar to a red panda, and they have a thumb like digit they use to hold bamboo stocks in like a red panda or racoon like animal would (although its very different than an actual thumb) and have to literally eat a truck load a day to survive because theirs no freeking nutrients in bamboo, and a ton of other just really weird shit, pandas are weird, and we're actually the ones named after the red panda, thus the word giant in their name, although DNA testing has in fact proven they're more closely related to bears then to red pandas

This movie wasnt bad at all and I think it was a prety decent filler movie + the ending gave me a smile seeing all the villains and how they view Po. Definitely a more calm movie than the ones before it and did not try to constantly break the barrier. Sometimes there has to be a bit silence between some fireworks to take the most joy out of them :)

Also the fight in the sky it reminded me of shifu and tai longs fight also the part of shifu catching the big sword he spins it in slowmo when fighting with tai long and po does that in kung fu panda 4 when fighting the fox in palace of the ancient artifacts. Many call backs.

Agree with your commentary. Despite its flaws and all the hate it got, I think it was still a good movie. Zhen was a pretty good chatacter. The story isn't as good as the trilogy but there's nothing wrong with just being a fun movie. We still got a good message in this one. And Tai Lung respecting Po at the end was the best

I've claimed the first 3 as my favorite trilogy for years now, and as a super fan of the franchise, I have to say . . . I loved this movie!

I just remembered she was going to take the staff earlier, when she and Po first met. and just maybe wanna save the staff from falling during the cliff scene, not to save po.

The reason I always liked the Kung Fu Panda movies (including the fourth one) is because I can not only identify with Po, but also with the villains. • With Tai Lung it made me remember that I always tried to make my father proud even though I knew that would never happen. • Then with Lord Shen it made me think of when he lived with pain instead of leaving it in the past. • With Kai it made me remember when my closest friends betrayed me. • And with the Chameleon it made me remember when people judged me for my appearance even when people had the same appearance as me, and that I always tried to change on the outside. Kung Fu Panda is not just about whether the villains have good motivation or not, but about identifying with the characters. And that you can learn to be a better person every day.

It's fine for what it is (and knowing the earlier ideas, it could have been much worse) but you can definitely tell the rushed production and budget cuts really hurt this one from living up to its predecessors.

FUNNY ENOUGH I watched your Kung Fu Panda reaction series the other day!!!

My best friend and I absolutely loved this movie. We were both so shocked and taken aback at the betrayal towards the end that we had a hard time trusting anything we saw in any of the movies we watched after this for a few weeks, and still sometimes to this day 😄

Love you guys and your reactions to the kung fu panda movies like love to see you both react to other things. Im going to rewatch your reactions to kung fu panda movies cus its so fun

I know this film won't be for diehard fans, but for me, this is the most gorgeous animated film in the franchise, while I found some of the biggest issues that needed to be done. Perhaps it's the weakest entry of the series, but there are NO bad movies in my opinion.

I want to say one of the popular ones like Its such a beautiful day or flee which are my favorite two animated films, but simply to shoutout some more slept on ones, Tower (2016) and Interface (2022) both are amazing, both are in my top 10 animation of all time, plus, they are on youtube rn!! So yeah if you wanted to watch just check em out! Highly recommend

VIOLA DAVIS WAS THE VOICE!

While I don't like Kung Fu Panda 4 since it felt a bit unneeded the way 3 closed things out, I kinda find the parallel interesting with how both Po and Zhen came from a humble beginning and had to work hard despite everyone's lack of faith in them to earn their place in the world, changing who they are from within. The opposite of the Chameleon, who had to cheat with magic to gain respect and power that wasn't hers, and hence why I don't find her a compelling villain. I, too, wish Tai Lung had been given more of a redemption arc after being brought back from the spirit world. But rather than just at the end, have it be at the beginning, so that way, Tai Lung would need to go to Po for help, as well as to regain his kung fu skill by relearning from the one who defeated him. This could humble a former villain, and Tai Lung would start to regret his actions from the first movie against the friends and family that Po now has. That trio of Po, Zhen, and Tai Lung could've been awesome against the villain; the fallen Dragon Warrior, the true Dragon Warrior, and the future Dragon Warrior. Also, again, *having the Furious Five for more than just the end credits would've been great.*

Zhen is my favorite character from Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024) and my favorite movie of 2024

This one won't top the previous 3, but man the animation, the colors, and the sound design were Chef Kiss. I had a good time.

sorry for the wall of text, i think they didnt make her a raccoon because raccoons are not as relevant in chinese folklore as they are in Japanese history as Bake-tanuki (youkais). Foxes are more relevant to Chinese folklore as the Nine-tailed fox jiǔwěihú" (九尾狐) legend is believed to have originated in Ancient China with the story set in the Shang dynasty and spread to other East asian countries and also because they have quite a central role in chinese mythology and the rule of sage kings and imperial concubines. (tho in most ancient literatures, they’re potrayed negatively as cunning and full of trickery. eg in 封神演義) There are still 胡仙 shrines in Northeast China dedicated to foxes and in Taoist belief, they’re said to be the animal that walked between yin and yang , similar to zhen who walked the path of evil under chameleon’s control and the zhen that learnt to be free and be a good person under Po I think they chose a pretty solid character to be the next dragon warrior, but since she’s a fox maybe its the end of Kungfu Panda, or maybe the beginning of Kungu Fox 🦊 lol

Why the audio weird?
