11 years later, this isn't nearly as strange anymore.

This video was made in 2007. I wonder what everyone on it does now. Did they become salarymen? Did they find an alternative job? Did they even find a job? Are they even still around? It's been roughly 12 years, and the internet of back than is incomparable to todays internet. The people participating probably thought it'd be watched by a couple thousand people AT BEST.

That's why I'm a bit sad that youtube is the way it is. I remember watching the medley with hundreds of people mashed up into one giant cluster of mess. But that was the one most of us on youtube know this song by. These little bits of history are slowly being removed, yet they are full of memories for many of us. An archive for our culture back then. But then again, maybe these guys are making new memories with new choir covers right now, lol. The internet is too big for us to find them now.

@@kukurrukux i don't get your point. Not only is this good for memory, it's also part of history. My career got kick started from a now removed channel on youtube. There's no replacement for that particular channel, and there's no bond like the community i am in. I'm just putting that same thought out to these nico videos. So what if there's better quality stuff, that's not important. This is still history, something that shaped our world today, especially post 4chan weeb culture.

I was a part of a mass chorus who did this at my school for a talent show. We were way over our time slot, and no one knew what we were saying but they still loved it.

What I love about this is that they don't look like a bunch of professional singers singing a song, they look like a group of friends who met to do a party, in which everyone dresses as they want and everybody talks with everybody. This is just awesome.

I feel like I missed out on a great community that doesn't quite exist today. The songs I do recognize are feel incredibly nostalgic. I can only imagine how I'd feel if these all brought back memories of my early days on the internet.

This is just flat out awesome. The Uninstall/Tori no Uta/Dear You/Marisa Stole The Precious Thing segment is particularly impressive. Also, gotta love the guy with the spoons during Wily Stage 1, and the guy who puts his hand on his heart during the Final Fantasy theme.

The wave of emotions I got hit by hearing this again for the first time in almost 13 years.

Welcome back.

I first heard these medleys when I was in 7th grade. It was 2008 and it was very early in my love for anime and I cannot fathom how much these songs have helped me over the years. I suffer from ADHD and ADD, if I just listened to one song I’d find myself wanting to listen to another and eventually I’d get so distracted I wouldn’t be able to get back on task. These songs have helped me A TON. I couldn’t grow tired of a song because they switched out so quickly and wouldn’t get distracted by the lyrics because I can’t understand a majority of songs. They helped me through homework assignments, chores, and art pieces over the almost 10 years I’ve been listening. So thanks a million Nico Nico Douga! Y’all helped me a ton!

Coming back to this 300 years after being in high school and god do I feel like a fossil. Glad it still sounds amazing.

I hope those dedicated people are still alive.

This video is a beautiful time capsule. I remember being jealous of those Kaito and Len cosplayers in the front because I always yearned to go to events like this and I'm a pretty big Vocaloid fan. Anyway, everyone did such a good job! It looked like a good time! Years later, I can feel the positive energy from like, an ocean away

The Busou Renkin theme sung in this medley will never NOT give me chills. It's one of the best OP's ever. Also, imagine that this came out at a time of Super Smash Bros. *Brawl* being new and going to what exists in Ultimate now, not the least of which being that combo of Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy co-existing.

I was just beginning high school during the year this video was uploaded. I think it was around that time I actually discovered this medley and it blew my mind away! If it wasn't for this medley, I never would have discovered some of the amazing music and songs I listen today. Every so often, I'll come back to this and relive the nostalgia. It still holds up even today. Love this medley so much. My favorite part has always been the Uninstall chorus to Tori no Uta with the little bit of Dear You sprinkled in. THat part always makes my heart ache a little with feels.

Seeing this makes me wish I had my current teenage years during these times. It's just so much simpler... Way simpler times. Though I am happy with what I currently grew up with, this, this just screams early 2000's and I love it. I was 4 years old when this was made, and here I am looking at it at my current age, 16. I was mostly staring at them, the Kaito and Len, the guy with the Spiderman mask on, the Kyoko cosplayer, and the guys with paper masks.

Was this like the apogee, apex, summit or something of otaku fandom? Newer generations of otaku never produced anything so elaborate, right?

It's amazing how this song gives me so much joy and energy. ^_^
