Kukali the Bhikshuni slanders Buddha.

Jani Jot: (Huen Tsang page 9) In page 9 second para Huen Tsang writes, “To the south of this (Deodattpur) again there is a great ditch, where Kukali the bhikshuni slandered Tathagat, and went down alive into hell.”
From the above quote, by the statement, “To the south of this again,” Huen Tsang means to the south of Deodattpur is the place where Kukali died. Huen Tsang doesn’t say anything here except Kukali the bhikshu who slandered the Buddha went down into hell here. Jani Jot means to squander away one’s life and the place is directly south of the Deoduttpur ditch so is certainly the spot Huen Tsang mentioned. The place is a village now. To strengthen Jani Jot’s claim as the Kukali ditch is the bearing of the next ditch which is just 1000 feet south of the Kukali ditch or Jani Jot village just as Huen Tsang says.
