If you shut off the tractor then move the control lever before you plug in the hoses it removes any hydraulic pressure.

When I bought my new 3902 I had the dealer swap a few things over from my 2501 trade in! I wanted my 3 point pin style sway bars that I had purchased after I bought the 2501 ….Dealer said not a problem. Plus they filled my rear tires and a few other minor things. About a week after I got the 3902 I was adjusting the top 3 point link and noticed the sway bar nuts that tighten to the lower link were just about ready to fall off ! I was pissed at first cause that could have been bad if they fell off while I was backing up! Nothing bad happened and I was thankful I caught it when I did ! Just went and grabbed a wrench and tightened them myself! The kubota dealership has been nothing but nice to me over the years and people make mistakes! Your situation was much more serious but like you said it could have been worse! Glad you got it working fairly easliy

Man I feel your pain! When I got my L2501 last year I had it delivered with a rb3772 rear blade. When I went to use it I couldn't pivot the blade. I'm 6' 4", 300lbs and couldn't budge it! Turns out it was assembled improperly, and no grease on the pivot zerks. A 650lb blade needs a little grease and proper installation. I then went over the entire tractor and found what I'd call "dealer setup flaws". And much like your experience, when I went to buy the tractor and up to delivery the salesman always picked up the phone, after delivery, ha. Took a month to get my owner's manual and my smv triangle from them. Love my tractor, not the dealer.

Grease zerks on a scraper blade? Why? I have used a 7 foot woods for years. I do use wd40 . We dont turn it much. We keep the bolt tight. That is a design flaw and if it gets loose it breaks. They are just HDWE store hard bolts ! inch,. Easy to fix.

A good dealer gets it done even in the busy season. I took our little Deere in for a warranty repair on the mowing deck, a spindle froze and stretched the belt. I took it to a closer dealer, not where it was purchased, and their shop was so full they had machines lined up outside to fix. 24 hours later it was fixed and waiting on me to pickup. They were doing 20-30 repairs a day.

I understand your frustration on a brand new piece of equipment failing. I guess shipping these implements already assembled exposes hydraulic lines and possibly the cylinders as well. I think this falls squarely on your dealer and not Kubota, but I understand again your frustration, I purchased a L4701 and the guy delivered my box blade and unloaded it with a chain and hoist scratching it up pretty bad in a lot of places, when I complained the guy asked how else was he gonna unload it and I asked if he ever heard of straps?, yes a box blade contacts the ground, but I don’t want it to start rusting where it contacts nothing right, this stuff is expensive, good luck amigo

I bought a B2920 about 10 years ago. I have never had a single problem with it. When I purchased mine, the dealer gave me his personal cell number and said if there was any issues with the tractor that he would have a loaner delivered to my house right away and take mine in for any necessary repairs.

I believe you can blame Kubota for not awarding the dealership to a competent entity. Too often manufacturers simply desire to sell a dealership to anyone that has a customer market preset that will allow them to generate immediate sales rather than actually qualify those to whom they sell their licenses to.

Looks to be a fairly easy fix, it will just take a little time and an even easier solution. While you have it apart to replace that broken fitting, reinstall the hydraulic cylinder the right way around. The piston needs to attach in the implement frame, not on the pin for the blade.

Not a Kunota issue it's a dealer issue I have the same plow on my BX and as you said the cylinder ts backwards they send these plows to dealers in pieces and they put them together but they come with books that show how it goes together they should cut you some kind of deal on your next service or parts, I had a hose on my loader that never got pur on right and it bent the steel line on the arm they came out fixed it and gave me 15% off next purchase at their dealership. Also had a tire that kept going flat since new and they could not figure out why and it was the weld where the rim was put together they replaced it with new tire and rim and welded rhe one that was on the tractor so now I have a spare. great service from dealer brings in customers poor service and playing phone tag loses customers.

It's good you didn't have to take it in. it would of been a long wait. BTY watch putting weight on the legs when taking the loader off you well bend them. Try tilting the bucket down a little and putting the weight on it and after you pull the pins then let it down on the legs.

Yah my impression with Kabota when I was looking for a tractor was they didn’t give a rats ____.! If you bought from them. They tried selling me a tractor at full price and the tires were rotated. I mean it had been sitting on the lot for so long the tires were cracked to the point I was concerned they wouldn’t hold air once the tractor was moved

Get a rear scraper blade And chains. I have scraped a 900 ft driveway for 15 years no issues. Quick connect is ok but I would not pay extra for it. 25 HP Kubota is a small tractor these days. Our L2800-2004 was a different breed of machine. I just bought a 35 HP Kioti. We always use chains in winter.Kubota .ours ,wasa good tractor but the prices these days are incredibly high on new models and the HP selection was meagre.

We generally use calcium chloride for ballast , extra weights as well , but from the look of your blade mount I might be hesitant to . It looks a bit fragile, I might be out to lunch , all I am used to are degelman and leon blades that mount directly to the tractor frame

  • @mainelyelectric

I have a B2650 with a blade and had almost the same issue with my blade! On My blade the ring coupling on the end of the cylinder shaft snapped off as I was plowing snow! The issue is I think it’s a design flaw because they had to weld on two little pieces of metal to stop the cylinder from coming all the way to the end! All the stress of pushing the snow is on that cylinder as you’re plowing! Why I think it’s a design flaw is because they shouldn’t have to weld on two pieces of metal on a brand new two week old plow! Wow Plus The next larger size plow designed for the 3300 tractors have two cylinders one on each side and I even think that this plow should have two cylinders it’s a large blade!!! I even called Kabota corporation and I tried to complain and tell them it’s a design flaw and they basically wouldn’t talk to me!

Bet your ass you bring it to Kubota ! They sure didn’t give you that tractor for free ! And yes, more than likely, someone at the dealer level didn’t assemble it correctly. A pain in the ass, but shit happens. Stay on their ass at the dealer level. The fella you’re dealing with is mediocre at best. You would think a new cylinder would be a given. You didn’t over react.
