Great video Roger! I went from a BX 1500 to a BX 1880. Quite a difference in driving. The BX stopped instantly when you let off the pedal and the 1880 coast quite a bit even at slow speeds. And to make things even more interesting, they put the brake on the opposite side LOL. I am going to adjust this today or I will be buying new fence LOL. Thanks again!

Haven't tried yet, but this is my issue. Already confident it'll be the solution after such a great visualization. KEEP USING THAT LASER POINTER. never seen one used in all the mechanic videos I've seen, which is a lot.

Good morning Roger. Good video. I have to go look on my B2601 and see if there is a zero. I don't know if there is one on the pedal or not. The manual didn't show one so I have always only greased the spots it mentions in the manual. Thanks !

Great job Roger !! Thank you !! I have a little different problem on my BX24. As soon as I let off the pedal it stops immediately ! If you are not buckled in you would end up over the bucket ! You think I need to go in opposite direction. ?!? Been this way since I have owned it. Just not taken time to check it out ! I appreciate you my friend !! Be safe and God bless you and your family !!!!! Eddy

Thanks Eddy! I worked on a BX24 a while back that had the same problem but the guy did not want to mess with that. This one if you were in reverse and on a little hill, it would stop so quick, it would pull the front wheels off the ground. I think there were some problems with those hydros having an abrupt stop. I believe there were some updates for the hydro. You can try adjusting the neutral spring, just count how much you turn it. Then if that does not fix it, you can put it back were it was.

Thank you Roger !! Mine is 2008 and has done it since new ! At that time I thought it was normal. It definitely will raise the front wheels off the ground in a situation like you described ! I only have 36 hours on it now. Eddy

I did a little looking into the issue and I can't find what is different. I did read that the BX60 has a different return damper, I'm not sure if that would be a the fix. A good dealer would be familiar with it and should know what it takes to fix it. It could be something simple/ easy.

I just tried this on my bx23s because it creeps about 5 feet when you let off the pedal from going slow in reverse. Forward is fine the pedal only sticks in reverse. I got some adjustment on the spring but that threaded rod is full of paint on mine and the lock nut won’t run up any higher 😖

  • @TractorTech

Try some carb cleaner and a wire brush to clean the paint off. Also lubricate the pedal before adjusting.

Good tip, I’ll try these before I dig deeper, and hopefully the grease fixes it because I don’t really want to take the mower deck off unless absolutely necessary.

@@TractorTech not sure how old, it’s pre-regen stuff. It’s probably 15 years old or older. It was stored outside. Since I’ve had it I’ve had to do a lot of work to it because of the corrosion and rot. Do you replacing the neutral spring and damper is the right direction?

Owned bx 2680 for a year now. Nothing but problems with it. Cooling hoses rubbing everywhere. ( tractor has cab with heat). Rear PTO plate was leaking, dealer fix it. Rubber boots on main shaft going to transmission is torn already so is rubber boot on forward reverse linkage. Today tractor kills engine as soon you activate forward or reverse pedal. Over riding seat switch did not helped. Looks like I made 28000 mistake going with kubota

Was the cab installed at the dealer? The rubber components on these tractors are a weak point. I think there are a couple of switches on the seats, it varies by model. Check the wiring to be sure it has not been pinched were the seat folds up.

I'm not that crazy about dealer installed cabs. Maybe it was a poor install job or maybe it is a poor fitting cab. I can't really imagine Kubota selling a cab that did not fit well. Are you located in the US? The cab on the BX in the US is made by Sims Cab. Good luck on getting your tractor fixed.

@@TractorTech I'm located in Minnesota that's why I need cab. I fixed tractor stalling problem myself. While messing with it I found rubber boot torn on drive shaft. I'll make them fix that! They suppost to call me today but never did. I'm professional mechanic worked mainly on cranes so I'm familiar with electronics. Just the way dealer treats costumers sucks
