I don't really need 4 wheel drive with the wheels weights. I was fighting down pressure because I forgot about the 12 o'clock float position. it was the first year I had it. I love the Kubota.

The blower will self level and ride on the skids without down pressure if you simply push your articulation stick to 12 o'clock past the click stop, as you can do with your FEL. Lots of folks are unaware of that float position, which is specifically designed to compensate automatically over undulating surfaces, and you'll have no more digging in or traction problems. It's also the position you would use to scrape loose material such as bark mulch, loam, or snow with the FEL from a paved surface. Simply, it relieves the hydraulic gate valve, so there's no pressure, either way. Just the implement weight is all that's involved. "Let it ride"! If you run 4WD, you will not have any traction issue whatsoever, and will not require chains either. Snow, sand, or any loose surface will eliminate the front end tire grabbing and chatter associated with 4WD. 2WD is for firm surfaces or lawns, etc. Also, lawn tires have superior traction on snow, compared to either farm or industrial treads, believe it or not. MB Tractor in NH has proven that with their fleet rental Kubota machines, and I can personally attest to it with my own BX2370 (same machine as BX25, without the backhoe).

Lots of folks never find that position; just push up to the 12 o'clock until it clicks into position, and the hydraulics will float vertically, and it will stay by itself until you pull it back over the detent to center. I'm surprised your dealer didn't demonstrate this essential feature to you. It's also illustrated on the square sticker by the joy stick control. Have more fun this winter!

Great video. Takes care of the snow with easy effort. I want one! I've come to the conclusion that its time for a riding tractor with a snowblower attachment for next winter here in Minnesota. I'm done with cheap walk behind snowblowers and my body can't take it anymore with walking behind. This looks absolutely fabulous.

So, @Michael Norman did you buy one for January 2021 snow in Minnesota? If so, what did you buy?

I have a craftsman tractor I used to use and I change that over to tire straps rather in chains it doesn't tear of the driveway or mark it at all.

Nice rig...but I would miss that wind-blown-snow-in-the-face experience...NOT! Heated cab with wiper, very nice.

I only had it in 2 wheel drive at that point. I also didn't realize I had a float position on my control. I standardley do not use 4 wheel drive when I snow blow. I only use the wheel weights and no tire chains

Usually shouldn't have to make extra passes for the missed snow in those windrows, I take less of a bite and try to get it all, less than the width of the blower after the initial pass depending on depth...

Hi Woody. I have the same machine. A little bit different theory about the changes though. Where did you get the heated cab and how much? How does it heat the cab? What is the heating element? These machines Kick ass if you have a lot of area to clean as I do. Nice job on the Video. Thanks when you get the chance.

the only thing I don't like about the blower is its not self-leveling. I have to adjust it because my driveway goes up and down

Why do people blow snow so high that a lot of it just blows back over what was just cleared? I adjust my shoot so that the snow blows across more than up.

Does that have a stereo in it? You have a heated cab, a wiper, why not a radio of some sort.

Nice set up. I noticed at the 8min 25 second mark your R/F tire was not turning. And a couple seconds it started truning again. Was it in 4WD? Is there a problem with it? Seems strange it would not be turning.

Now thats what I am talking about! Does that thing have a Cup Holder? Wish I lived in an area with that kind of snow. We have a JD X350 with a Plow, its a Toy compared to your Kubota.

The further you blow the snow, the better, because you won't have any snow banks close to your driveway and also reducing snow drifting across your driveway, unless you have a neighbor right next to your driveway, then it would be a pain in the ass for your neighbor to clean his or her driveway. Not a good idea. LOL

I live in the country so it’s typically blowing straight up most of the time- snow spreads out and dissipates more evenly actually in a good wind it’s just blown away

We just added 12" wheels due to part of our driveway is rocked. We tried 8" and no go they still sank. 10" was ok, but 12" solid wheels did the trick!

Lower the nozzle- so it's not all blowing back at you. You got chains for those rear wheels? Chains often chew up a paved driveway, though. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. *Winter Sucks. Plain and simple.*

Sorry I must have missed you a message. No I only use wheel weights on the rear and most of the time I snow blow in 2 wheel drive occasionally 4 wheel drive.

Oddly turf tires have better traction. They are softer and have better ground contact.

You should have your 4 way light flashers on and a strobe blinking light and a back up buzzer warning sound And And Always. Wear. Extra clothes and maybe have gloves on hand Incase. Your. Kubota brakes down. And also who is holding the camera nickel jay fox
