"Kuando el Rey Nimrod" - Sephardic Folk Song
This flag is unofficial, meaning it is not adopted by any official authority. It may have a name and a design that resemble the official flag or logo of a certain region or entity, but it has no legal status.
------------------------------
"Kuando el rey Nimrod" is a Sephardic folk song in Judeo-Spanish that narrates the birth of Abraham. It originated in the 18th century and became popular among the Sephardic communities of the Mediterranean. Abraham's role in the song is anachronistic, but it is based on biblical accounts and Jewish texts.

@@LodIstHier En serio.

As a Sephardic Jew myself whose ancestors trace back to Morrocco and Portugal, it feels me with joy to see that someone translated a ladino song. Unlike Yiddish, Ladino isn't as widely spoken by the sephardic community today, except by ederly people or those who seek to learn it. It shares a lot of commonalities with Spanish, Portuguese and Mozarabic, and can be divided into two variants: Eastern Ladino and Western Ladino (also known as Haketia).

Your comment is completely wrong. Yiddish is an independent language which has embodied Jewish culture for more than a thousand years. Yiddish phraseology is light years away from German expressions. Thousands of Yiddish sentences cannot be understood by speakers of German or of any German dialect. The Hebrew/Aramaic and Slavic components of Yiddish have transformed the language completely. The Germanic elements of Yiddish can be very different from German. Many words are a mixture of Hebrew/Slavic and Germanic morphemes. Any Yiddish dictionary will corroborate these statements. For example: a id a lamdn git zekh an eytse. 'A learned Jew finds a solution.' This comment has been written by a professional Yiddish linguist whose mother tongue is Yiddish.

Being American, i can trace my sephardic ancestors to when they fled spain to England and anglicised mixing with the English. I love my Sephardic ancestry. Am sadden by the persecution they felt

Yo encuentro el Ladino mas Suave y dulce que el español,soy española y lo entiendo todo,es muy armonioso el Ladino.
Beautiful song! The Sephardic, and Jewish culture is one to love and cherish.
Sephardic Jews have such beautiful music.
Its not exactly spanish or even medieval spanish. Its a spanish dialect called Ladino, which is spoken by Sephardic jews.
El Ladino mola, se parece al castellano antiguo.
