KUALA LUMPUR'S Full Of Surprises! Central Market And More...
We have completely fallen IN LOVE with this AMAZING big city! And after spending 2 full weeks in Malaysia's Capital City of Kuala Lumpur we are finally moving on to or next location. But before we do there are a few more places we wanted to check out. So come along with us to explore the KL Central Market and the Jalan Alor area in the heart of the city.
We had a great time recording this video and exploring these parts of the city.
The central market is such a cool vintage/hipster and vibey area, and the Jalan Alor area is a great place to grab some food and enjoy a beer! Or if you make your way down some of the side streets off the Jalan Alor street you will find the most amazing and colourful street art decorating entire buildings and streets. We definitely think this is a MUST VISIT area when coming to the city of KL!

Hey, we're Eoin and Aisling, a couple from Ireland who have packed their bags, waved goodbye to home and set off to travel the world in search of new adventures!
We started our journey by spending 3 months walking from the top to the bottom of Croatia and exploring a few of the boarding countries. Then at the start of January 2022 we hopped on a flight to South East Asia!
We hope to be in this part of the world for the next year, but who knows what might happen along the way, our plans are forever changing!
We tend to plan each day as it comes and can't wait to see what the world has in store for us!
Peace out x

I don't feel like we visited anywhere that was majorly closed down or felt like it had a bad after effect from covid in Malaysia which was so so good to see because in some other places we visited it was very obvious. The country seems to have recovered very well
Very nice guys👍 glad to see u enjoy Central Market n local art.. If you have more time do visit Kompleks Kraf KL at Jalan Conlay to see more local arts n craft

Central Market used to be the main wet market but was transformed into a cultural centre as part of urban renewal some 4 decades ago. Not Western donuts but deep fried flour sticks. KL street art is new & modern. Penang street art is older and more heritage which fits with its Unesco World heritage listing. Like your cute Irish accent - saw that you are quite new to travel blogging - subbed !
@EoinandAisling

Thank you so much for the sub! We clearly were reading old info on the central market haha but we loved it, the atmosphere was amazing. We've been on the road now 10 months and it seems crazy to think it but we are loving every minute!
Central Market was a wet market, I remembered going there to buy fresh produce, fish etc when I was 6 or 7

The central market gave me many memories when I was a teenager in the 80s. That's where we hang out after work around Kuala Lumpur. It used to be the food court on the roof. Many people meet their soulmates at Central Market. OOOO! God! if time can be turned back. How beautiful it is right now.And in front of the Central Market, we boarded a mini bus that was crowded like sardines to go home.

Delicious food awaits you in Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bahru in the East coast of Peninsular Malaysia with beautiful beaches. Too bad time is too short to explore the entire Malaysia. Do Google Pulau Redang and Tioman Island also. Maybe for your next trip. Legoland in Johor not to be missed.
