Living in Singapore now made me realize how good Malaysia is. Affordable , beautiful, nice peoples and so many places to explore. Singapore just a small place like Hong Kong. Everyone so grumpy, stressful, and too expensive. Those local didn't even respect service staff. So rude.

If you are rich in Malaysia to be honest you’ll living life almost like heaven. You enjoy the city life, then on the weekend you can go to your weekend house with beach view or paddy field view, you’ll have farm and durian farm. Even if you are in middle class, you living quite healthy life. Sometimes people view “successful” from amount of money, yea money are important equally as quality and peaceful life for most Malay.

@@kiekaismael3940 “Successful” can also means you have a healthy mind, less stressful life... Malaysia is one of the countries that has the most public holiday in the World. It means a lot of holiday that you can de-stress by going hiking, scuba diving, visiting the oldest rain forest in the world, go shopping, go for entertainment, etc... we got it all....world oldest rain forest, shopping/entertainment place, delicious food, world class scuba diving, magnificent beaches, etc 😁😁😁

You can't really escape the high costs of living in Singapore, it is either you keep up or you can't survive, need money for everything, so work till you die, very stressful. In Malaysia, you could save up money, buy housing and land in states with lower costs of living and retire when you are in your 50s.

Kuala Lumpur seems like the perfect combination of concrete jungle and REAL jungle. Just beautiful! A quick search and I found out that there's a forest reserve right in the city center that is SEVERAL MILLION YEARS OLD 😮! I also found out that the country of Malaysia is so biologically diverse that even the city of Kuala Lumpur itself is home to several endemic plants and an endemic monkey species. Just wow.

@@asmaali7293 Because there are no well regarded universities in Malaysia. Chinese Malaysians work hard and save so they can send their children overseas to get a proper degree. The universities in Malaysia exist to meet the needs of the New Economic Policy established after the 1969 riots. The plan was to raise the level of education of the Malays by giving free university education. While good in theory the government school system was so poor, and the Malays so lazy, that very, very few were capable of coping with degree level work. As the program couldn't be seen to fail, degrees were awarded regardless making them worthless. Nothing has changed since and a Malaysian degree isn't worth the paper it's written on which is why the unemployment rate among Malay graduates is higher than any other group. Malaysia also offers scholarships to overseas students but only to Muslims. The education is obviously just as poor. As mentioned, Chinese Malaysians are generally educated overseas where they get meaningful degrees. They either return and are in high demand or they stay overseas where they're not subject to Malaysia's racist laws and where they're treated as equals.

Malaysia has been a middle income country since 1979...but it's trapped in it for 40 yrs now, reaching only high middle income status for quite a while now. The positive side is since it hasn't climbed the value chain to become a high income developed country, everything is still relatively cheap while giving a high standard of living on parity with the current level of purchasing power. When I was an engineering student in London in the late 1970s, my Bangladeshi landlord couldn't believe it when I told him that we make washing machines and air conditioners etc at home in Malaysia at that time. Thank god he never thought we made them on trees 🤣

Kuala Lumpur serves as an inclusive city, embracing people from diverse backgrounds - whether rich or poor, young or old, local or foreign, male or female. Malaysians display kindness and hospitality to all visitors, regardless of their country of origin, whether it be a first, second, or third country. We extend a warm welcome to all those coming to Malaysia. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is a city of harmony, blending modernity with affordability. It boasts high-quality facilities and contemporary architecture while remaining accessible for visitors. The city's landscape is enriched with iconic concrete structures, yet it also embraces the allure of an exotic and green lifestyle. In Kuala Lumpur, everyone is welcome; it's a place that can feel like home to anyone.

It really is a melting pot of cultures and races. All the major races (Malay, Chinese & Indians) live in harmony and indulge in each other's cultures (mostly bonded by food!). Almost everyone is friendly and love tourists who come to visit our beautiful country. Hope you come back to Malaysia again and explore other cities outside of Kuala Lumpur! I live in Australia and go to Malaysia about once or twice a year and I can tell hands down that lifestyle in Malaysia is far ahead and more manageable compared to anywhere in the EU, AU or US. Hi Paddy, I've watched pretty much all of your travel videos, and i have to say that the quality and production of the last few series has been immense. I've watched many TV travel shows over the years and yours are up there with the very best. All without a film crew, producers, and script editors. You should be very proud of your work, I'm sure people don't realise how much sheer effort goes into making a 20 minute video, and it's 100% your own work. Fantastic stuff!

Exactly. To think the amount of editing & fact checking he needs to do before putting up a whole video on pretty much every aspect people wanted to see is amazing work no doubt

"That makes luxury affordable" That is a very nice way of putting it. :) I've watched most of your content and like your way of introducing the interesting places you visited, with curious, adventurous and respectful manner. Interesting to see Malaysia popping up here. Like any major cities, the capital KL has many non-locals and foreign workers operating businesses. Hence, most of whom you spoke to were non-locals, unlike suburbs like Kepong where things were not as chaotic. Hope you managed to visit Putrajaya as well. :)

It's my first time watching your video, and i love it! The way you created it is very similar to the TV production & it reminds me of Travel & Living channel. Your voice is clear, your explanation is short, simple and precise. Excellent! 🎉

I went to Malaysia and spent 6 days as honey moon in Shangri-La hotel. I took a tourist tour and visited about 90% what was shown in this video. I cant tell you how much I want to go back and live there. The people, the luxury, the value, the style, the nature, everything is spectacular.
