Bought a Freeride last week based a lot on your videos...I wanted a 2 stroke and couldn't decide between one of the "race enduro" bikes in the KTM lineup...or the FreeRide...I think I made the right choice...that thing is a mountain goat with loads of torque....SO FUN to ride!! Thx man

Jealous, dude! That will be an awesome bike! The model year after this one (2017) has a counterbalanced engine which has so little vibration that it's unbelievable!

Would you rather have the TE300 or the 250r if you had to choose? Thanks! I have a 250r but I am looking at a ktm 300 xc-w.

Based on where I live, TE300 or 300XC-W for sure! The 250R is awesome when it gets REALLY technical (East-Coast US, Romania, etc.) but it isn't the best choice (considering performance or comfort) when the terrain opens up.

Right now I'm doing some very technical things. Tackling difficult terrain, going off trail, and hill climbs is what I bought it for. In the future, though, I'm looking to do desert riding which the 300xc-w would be good for. I don't know if there might be some technical things in the desert :P.

There is a 6 speed trans on your te300. Just count your head.

You are right! My notes had a typo... haha embarrassing! There should be a note that clarifies that error on the vid: I will double-check that. Thanks for keeping me true!

K & S Bond had a TE300 for almost two years now and his comment (5gears) made me go to the garage and count the gears... hahaha

what about the shitty rear brake and poor front suspension

On which bike? WP front suspension on the TE300 takes quite a bit of adjusting to get right but no complaints so far on the rear brake on either bike.

The Formula brand rear brake on the Freerides is notorious for its poor reliability. Nihilo concepts sells a rear brake stay mod to allow bigger more reliable Brembo brakes to be mounted on this bike.
