KTM 890 Adventure R Mosko Moto Outback V2.0 panniers and Outback Motortek rack- 6 months in...

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I've been asked to do a review of the the Mosko Moto Outback pannier set up, so here it is. There is a fair bit of depth to this review, so sorry for the length of the film. I've included some measurements as requested, but skip past this if that's not your thing!
Hope it's useful and thanks for watching. Happy to try and answer any unaddressed questions.

I wonder if it’s part of their marketing strategy. They are often sold out. Or perhaps they just don’t manufacture enough for demand. Thanks for watching.

Another excellent informative video aided by the best picture quality I've seen on KZread. I don't think we'll see you strapping that camera to the chin of your helmet any time soon. You certainly used you're experience in sourcing the best most practical equipment for the job with that one. I'm so glad to see your subscriber numbers growing exponentially, the effort you put in to producing these videos deserves such reward 👍

I really appreciate the kind feedback Michael. It's actually the same camera for everything- a GoPro Hero 10. I use it on a tripod as well as a helmet mount. The image stabilisation is very impressive.

I’ve had the 35 litre panniers since 2016 for my Explorer and still using them now on my 2nd GS Adventure and can’t fault them as excellent pieces of kit; can’t really justify the 2.0 but the upgrades have been well thought out and considered, great review👍

I have reckless 80 set up on my 890 as personal preference not to have anything wider than handle bar(still pretty wide imo). To echo your comment, R80 is even harder to stuff hard items in as the base is curved to the plastic. I find removing those side covers in white helped a little in my case. Also your aux pods goes in length where in my setup it grow in width as well lol

Thanks for watching and sharing your experience of the Reckless 80 set up. I did look at those but chose the panniers in the end. We would get the same issue with any luggage set really so I guess it's about packing efficiently.

I wonder if these bags would work with SW-Motech Pro Carrier racks on a KTM 890 Adventure.

As a senior product development exec, I’m utterly confused by the product development at Mosko and similar others. For example, the BMW GS, the largest market for this product, already has pannier mounting points. BMW’s panniers require no mounting rack. If a rider chooses that route, there’s no need to purchase a mounting rack and the bike is “clean” when panniers are not in use. So why doesn’t Mosko utilize those same mounting points? Seriously, WTF? It’s like watching a bunch of mongoloids reinvent the wheel. Granted, Mosko did come out with the Reckless 80, but that’s to accommodate other brands.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the really useful observations. I don't know much about BMW, but I agree with what you say. There is a small part of me that wishes I had gone for Lone Rider panniers.

@@advnoobie6061 Similar issue with Lone Rider. However, they are presently developing rackless panniers. Likely next year before we see them available.

Why? Because these are purpose-built off road bags, made for the abuse that comes with off road riding and camping. BMW makes cases that can be loaded to pick up groceries and go for a weekend in hotels.
