The Remus can that is due out has removable db killer looking at it.maybe worth waiting see how that sounds along with Austin racing can whick looks good with orange cap on end.

Other than the exit angle (the stock one is in the wrong place, especially for luggage) I prefer it, considering the cost of swapping it out anyway.

Can you simply remove the db-killer by removing a screw ?

The bar end are victory or victory evo?

Not an exhaust question but who makes the bar end mirrors you have on the Duke? They look a lot like stock KTM mirrors (angular design) but I'm sure they are aftermarket.

They are exactly the same as the powerparts mirrors, but they‘re originally from Highsider Germany. The only differences: 70 bucks cheaper and not KTM but Highsider written on the back.

Removing the dB-Killer isn‘t that easy. We had to drill a hole into the carbon fiber part of the exhaust. Also the screw underneath, holding the dB-killer, had been spot welded to the exhaust. The guys at Akrapovic did not want to get this thing removed.

The guys at Akrapovic did not want to get this thing removed. We are thinking of making a template, where to drill the hole. What do you think?

It was a similar thing with my 390 Duke (2015.). Although the hole in carbon cap was already there, but the screw was welded, yes. This has to do with the damn Euro 4 norm, right?

Personally I prefer the Akrapovic without DB-Killer. It‘s just sounds loads better than the OEM exhaust. For longer distances you probably chose the Akrapovic with DB-Killer, otherwise you could get a headache because it‘ll be too loud.

One thing i love with the standard exhaust is that it pops quite a bit when de-accelerating, does it do this still with the Akrapovic slip on?

Yes it does! It‘s pops significantly more than before and much louder too.

I wouldn’t ever have a Db killer on an akrapovic they are already one of the quieter aftermarket exhausts out there

Too expensive for annything, id rather spend 700£ on the AR with a decat and a retune 😿looks good tho

I have to say ... The normal exhaust is still pretty .. Dont need to wast money in akra i guess oO the Change is not as big as i thought
