A tip for fitting - remove the twin bolt bracket from the subframe and attach the hanger to that, off the bike. That way you don't have to struggle trying to pinch the hanger tight enough to get the bolt to reach.

Awesome upgrade & glad I added to my KTM ENDURO 690R, better in every way, looks performance & way lighter than stock exhaust.

👍 That’s good to hear. Not been able to properly test it yet due to lockdown. I really hated the stock can. Had Wings on my 790 Adv, it was brilliant too, so I am confident this will be the one 👍

Hi Codger, Wings exhausts are a piece of art and the price is reasonable compared to Acrapovic. The Acra costs approx. 70% more than the Wings for the 790. Wings also sound nicer 😊

I agree entirely. The 790 Adv Wings exhaust was by far the best and much cheaper than some 👍 PS You still riding?

It’s an essential modification. The standard can with Cat is dangerously hot especially if you regularly fall off like I go 😀. Sounds better and looks way better too. Love my Wings .

I just hated the look of the stock pipe and, as you say, bloody hot! I had Wings on my 790 too, so it was another no-brainer factored into my budget. Just need spring to arrive and lockdown to end now. 🤞

Great video thanks. Considering the Wings for my 2021 690 Enduro. Did you notice an increase in power / torque down at low revs. Cheers

Can't say I noticed overly, but we were locked down for half a year so hard to remember. The sound might give that illusion, especially without baffles.

If your pairing this can with an upgraded intake (K&N) or other high flow intake with the air ox mod or EVO1 intake cap. Your bike may be running lean , even with a fuel dongle (which is meant to riches the mix down low). So if you run into Stalling issues ; head to the KTM Dealer and they will flash the ECU to get the mix right. You will find significant performance increase and ridability especially lower in the REV range.

Cheers for the info. Running stock intake for now. Have a fuel dongle. Won’t know until I can ride, but I was aware of potential issues. Good to have the knowledge in advance should I need it 👍

@@CodgerBiker Alot of people will tell you to buy a Power Commander or soome other fuel controller, KTM dealer didn't even charge to do the flash and it was done in minutes. Some people have said you just tell them it is stalling OR that you think it;s running lean. My plugs were white from being leaned out to much. After the the new tune the Bike has completely transformed. Enjoy your 690.

Have ridden 700 miles with it so far. No issues to report. I think the ECU adjusts itself. 👍

Hi, and thanks very much for taking the time to make the video, I have a 2019 690 r, and also contemplating the wings exhaust, I like the quietness of stock exhaust, but don't like the heat that it produces, On the scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate the loudness of the wings and the loudness of the stock exhaust?

For me the Wings is really nice quality and cool, much cooler than OEM. But too loud. Many people disagree but too loud for me. However Gorazd also sells this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHel2ZR8fsanmdY.html It is now perfect for me, I can pass horses with no problem. No I am not affiliated, just a happy customer. Do not forget to fit the gasket from the OEM. 👍

I have a 2021 690 enduro and it feels flat low end, your review is missing how the bike feels riding the new exhaust?

I changed it to reduce weight, heat and ugliness. I'm always sceptical of 'performance' improvements as I'm fine with it as is, and the extra sound can be misleading, subjectively. 👍 As the cat is gone I suspect a dyno would show improvement.

Hi Codger, can I ask do you have to fit stock pipe back on to get Wolfgang through an MOT, what with the Wings not having a catalytic converter ?

It passed with it on. I did wonder myself. But, apparently, emisions don't apply to motorbikes.

Both my db killers had a metal screen cone shaped on the end. I wonder why the difference.

Yes i think some states mandate them to reduce fire risk. But it must reduce levels a little.👍

When you have finished pimping up the 690, do you return to the 790 Adventure? 😁

I’ve just sold my 2021 Adventurer 890R for a new 2021 690 enduro. Hated how heavy the 890 was and the wind buffeting off the windshield on to my helmet gave me a headache if I rode it for more than an hour on the motorway. Really ruined my enjoyment of it so it had to go and the 690 feels more ‘at one’ with me

Hello, Is this exhaust homologated/approved in EU? If yes, then does it come with any papers to back this? Thank you!

I do not believe so. Ok in UK though as my bike just passed it's annual MOT. Wings 790/890 Adv endcans are homologated and come with a plate affixed to them to prove it. No plate on these.

Thank you@@CodgerBiker! 🧡 In the meantime I also received an email from Wings and they confirmed that for this model (690) it is not, as it does not have a catalytic converter (but it has the advantage that it is lighter and cooler exactly because of that).

I have no connection to Wings. But I can assure you it transforms the bike. Lighter, so much cooler and a better tone. It's why it is so popular 👍

Like the weight and looks of it, and that its way cooler then the stock pipe when riding, also its loud so people can hear u from far away and that is great onroad, but is also why i dislike it when using the bike offroad. No more sneaking around in the woods undetected 😅

I like a quietish exhaust. I love the looks of the Wings. But, to be totally honest, I hate the looks of the OEM and I don’t want to pay as much as the Akrapovic when the Wings looks better for less than half the price. 👍

It was quite a bit quieter with it inside (790 I mean). Sound is quite tricky as you have to get pulses/harmonics etc right. I enjoyed the sound of the 690 when I went out at last I must say. 👍
