yes, you could either calculate when you need to deorbit, or you could do this, obviously NASA doesn't have time to calculate anything so they just flip around, it's a very safe maneuver.

yes i find it funny that ksp players tend to fly like that. at least ksp doesnt ever take into account of wind shear, or else the shuttle would be gone

Saturn V launched more than its payload capacity during each of the Apollo missions to the moon as rocket is only the first 2 stages, the payload (Apollo module) and the TLI stage were too heavy for the Saturn V to lift and rather than redesign the Saturn V, they elongated the TLI stage and used it for orbital insertion as well.

You totally missed out on the sea dragon, which, I'm pretty sure, would literally be the biggest rocket every created, and my personal favorite. You also missed out on its launch station and sequence, which would have been awesome to see in KSP.

You forgot to drop the long March V booster on a kerbal village XD

The Energia/Buran was a "ripoff" of the Space Shuttle but much cooler. First of all, it's payload was way higher, the rocket could launch by itself, I'm pretty sure it's reusability was better than the Space Shuttle's, and the Buran Shuttle could land itself without a crew.

i tried landing the stock slim shuttle and I had to reload a quicksave like 12 times because it stalls super easily and I exploded

The Kerbal on the far right when you were re entering the atmosphere as the Space Shuttle 😂. They were loving it 1:54

Angara is nothing like the Proton. What you seem to think are boosters around a core stage on Proton are actually fairings for the engines and tanks. The first stage is one block.

@@Ultraramage I don't know how much, but when your rocket burns in atmosphere on ascent, you know something is wrong. Also pitching down to correct apoapsis is not good for delta V.

@@Starman1941 his ascent profile is pretty much ideal, i know this from experience and other youtubers' ascents, the rocket is not burning on ascent it's just visual effects that don't mean it's in danger of overheating
