KSP: Planetary Colonisation in ONE Launch!
Ойындар
With all the hype around Kerbal Space Program 2's colony systems, I decided to have a crack at a Duna base in KSP 1! The twist? This base features a fully-fledged orbiting Space Station, orbital relay network, surface base, crewed rover, and deployed science farm! What's more, the surface and orbital stations are self-assembling, using pistons and hinges to unfold into their final forms! I hope you all enjoy!

For the sound bug what worked for me was installing the Rocket Sound Enhancement mod. If you download just the mod and not the config files, you’ll still keep the normal game sound effects but it will fix the cutting!

Matt:”And who has time for that?” Me: sweats nervously
Great episode and this series should definitely be expanded. Its always good how he shows the builds and explains it, it has really helped me on my ksp journey
I try and have my missions fill as many purposes as possible. My first mun landing was also to repair a rover, build a little relay sat on the ground, and leave 2 relays in orbit.

Not in ksp but in another space flight game on mobile (space flight simulator) even though solar panels don’t have a purpose anymore until the new electricity revamp comes out I use it on my colony’s to provide power…like it’s original use. But I also land landers with rivers with “food” on them to resupply my colonies
I've been rewatching most of your videos and now I'm back into KSP after 1.5 years of not playing at all. Goes to show how enjoyable your videos are!
Always makes my day better when you release KSP videos! Keep up the great work!
It was a very troubling month indeed, Matt. Thanks for returning.
Nice! Great to see some new KSP content!
Great video, will always adore the creative playfulness of stock KSP. And that music.. it will never get old.

Lesssgooo! I love seeing mate lowne ksp pop up in my subscriptions bar. While I'm playing ksp!
Honestly, wow, very creative staging, especially with the rover beneath the actual craft. Im for sure gonna use this concept in my future builds…
This seems like a really fun idea! I will definitely try something similar. Thanks for the inspiration. Love the ksp content! Great video! Really made my day better! Keep it up!
I'm 90% sure that the engine sound glitch is something to do with how KSP processes engine noises and how the mods interact with them because I get it both with Waterfall and RealPlume. I also get it if I switch audio outputs mid-game
Finally Matt you made a KSP video. Happy your getting back into the groove.

Please don't quit the planet coaster series, I love watching those videos they are so chill and I enjoy your decoration and rollercoaster designs. If worst comes to worst I would love to see it on your second channel
For KSP 2 release, I would love to see you live streaming on twitch!
Great video! I always set the reaction wheels on my rovers to "SAS only" such that they do not respond to my commands, flip over and waste electricity, but they still provide stability to the rover.
first time commenting, i love your vids matt! been watching your videos for about a month now and i love your ksp videos (of course also your planet coaster ones as well) keep up the good work man!
I just thought about another ambitious KSP project, Eternity on Eeloo! You set up a mining base there and turn it into a refinery planet where you get ores and materials! Also a place to send misbehaving Kerbals hence the name ETERNITY on Eeloo…
That's what I like to see! Gorgeous
im soooooo looking foward to when ksp2 goes live. cant wait to see what you end up building
This makes me wanna go back to playing this game religiously
That’s amazing Matt I’m going to try that to
Bro wut? The pilot has to get out of the craft to assemble some things before it lands? Wild lol😂
Another glorious success. Well done Sir.
Man I don't usually mind Matt's style of a fast forward sequence of the build with little explanation, but for something this complex a slower breakdown of what parts went where and why would be fun.
Fun fact: this was one of the first-ever KSP videos I watched, The very first one was definitely by Matt though, he introduced me to KSP, and I thank him for that :)
I love this concept, tried to do this before but my pc couldn't handle it lmao. I think an Eve base would be interesting, these are always very interesting, especially when you want your kerbals to have a way to actually get back home.
I just started playing ksp. I'm in awe of what I've just witnessed.
I love it so much good work❤
The day Matt Lowne stops making KSP videos for good will mark the end of a great era.
Eve is SUPER pretty with parallax/EvE. The pink auroras are - amazing. If you DO do it, I'd do a pole base!
10:00 "It never will decay" true, but there's one way around it: Leave the Pe below 30k at Kerbin and the Stage will disappear even when on rails. I use that technique to save time and solar bears at the same time. Cheers, and thanks so much for these KSP videos, they are always a pleasure!
Amazing Saturday when Matt uploads a new kerbal video. I really thought this was an old video that I had never seen before and was like WHY HAVENT I SEEN THIS?! oh it’s new. YES
Last time I was this Early there was still a history segment of Space This Week
A cool idea for single launches could be one base on every Jool moon in one launch or every planet.

I would love to see this done with Eve! and/or that one launch expansion you pondered where you could add something to Ike, dock with the space station, and bring another vehicle or two.
Great stuff!
Great idea! Great vid! Would be epic to finish the series by trying to launch everything needed to build a functional rocket launch base on another planet :)
Thank god another ksp vid!
Gonna need the expertise of Lowne Aerospace to show all the things in KSP2. Great video, looking forward to seeing more!!!
Obviously only one take! Love the content!
I just download ksp, and this matt teach me a lot, he give me ideas too
very cool, matt
This makes my dad better with more KSP content, I also just landed on mimmus for the first time yesterday
I was sad, you made me happy today.
Hey Matt, bearing in mind duna’s thin atmosphere could you build a “catapult” for a small reconnaissance plane/drone (for the “catapult” if you search up V1 bomb or doodlebug it features this elevated rail in which it took of from). What would be I believe suitable is instead of just a rail would be a “bed” for the probe to rest on with a couple rockets on the back in which would ride on the rail and slingshot it up wards. Although something like minmus or the mun would be probably alot easier.
i also jumped back into ksp after the ksp2 announcement, i need to finish my kerbin rover circumnavigation i started over a year ago 😅
always great listening to the commentary while doing something else in the background, yes but also matt what mod makes the atmospheres look thicker? like extend further up visually?
Matt Lowne should do a final KSP Series where he colonies 80% of the Kerbal Planets and Moons with small bases
Hey Matt you're my favourite KZreadr and I love your commentaries, keep it up my good man
Love it.
I do not have this game but this looks fun, I'm gonna get it! Thanks matt
“Configure itself to the configuration” Lovely.
Matt is what I imagine Stevie Griffin sounding like if he grew up and started created content. 😂 Love it!
I can’t wait for that first KSP2 moon landing!!!
love the vid, great concept. We never got the eva construction option on console and so sadly can't fix the bugginess that can occur with robotic parts. However I had an idea I haven't seen around which might be a challenge to entertain you, ever taken a rover home on a flight?
I have a racing mind, and these are very calming for me, I wish our planet had an accelerated the space program I don't want to be 110 by the time everything starts happening
Love it Matt. I loved LifeOnLaythe

L O L!!! :O!!!!!
I've found that the sound glitch you talked about only happens for me when I open map view while using physics time warp with mods, I guess when "you're not supposed to be able to". I use the time control mod for this but Better Time-Warp might have the same effect, so it could be worth trying. It's pretty frustrating but I have to stop time-warping every time I wanna check on my orbit during long burns just to avoid the sounds not working
The legend is back! (To KSP) Anyways great to see another KSP vid from you Matt.
Hey Matt i love your videos take care and have a splendid day
I really enjoy watching your tutorials. You never seem to have any problems to make part snap to each other, even in diffcult positions. Is there a certain technique, some "secret" hotkey or a mod that helps with this? I many times waste minutes to get to parts together if they just don't want to.
Awesome when Matt makes KSP content! :D
