I have been studying ksi Vs Jake since 2018. After 6 years of collected interviews, data , charts I have came to conclusion: without a doubt Jake is ducking the one and only Nightmare K.S.I

Tell KSI to stop running then. Dude tried the, "I beat the guy who beat you so I am better" approach to avoid the fight, failed, cried about it, and now wants to take ANOTHER break to avoid fighting hahaha.

I appreciate what Misfits is trying to do by creating a platform for influencers but the fact is, all their non-KSI shows do trash viewership figures because as Influencers start to learn Boxing, the more boring their fights get. They just become boring amateurs and don't get me started on 90% of them stopping all Social Media / content Creation once they think they're Boxers. I think the Jake Paul bullshit will continue because Jake's distanced himself from it all, but the Misfits / similar shows will die if we go another year without Jake vs KSI.

One of my favourite things to have happened in this scene was Jay Swingler quitting because he started making videos again which is so much more entertaining than being an amateur boxer

I think that's one of the things misfits needs to invest in, content creation for fighters, especially their current stars and upcoming talent/fan favourites. Not just fight week vids but content leading up to fights and in between events. Especially when the fan favourites are not fighting, working with them to create content is key to keep the fans engaged. I think the current model misfits use is only really effective on the cards which have the tag team/survivor tag and gimmick fights. Like u know on 008 in July wen they had the survivor tag, they did the misfits manor series, that went really well with the fans, content like that on a regular basis would do great I reckon.

@@username2828 Even then, I think that when it comes to the people who were big before boxing, people like Jay, Deji, Gib, KSI etc.. they're 9/10 times much more entertaining in anything other than boxing. So it's not even that I want them to be doing videos to promo their boxing, I'd just rather see them do actual KZread and just let this boxing phase die since it just makes people boring at best and unlikeable at worst

The problem with the Crossover scene, is that everyone (the big players at least) already have money, fame, and influence before coming to the scene. So there's really no motivation to push themselves to the top, take every fight they can possibly get etc. Most of the guys in the UFC or traditional boxing start out completely broke, fighting to put food on the table and that helps fuel them to the top. Whereas alot of these guys just say "Yknow what, I don't really need this anyways I've already got my thing going on". I think that's also a big reason why the main fights we want to see never happen, because why risk your reputation and record when you don't need to

@@Bloodclatburner I think eventually what Mams will do is bring in ex UFC & MMA stars in a bid to raise the profile of misfits but that comes with the risk of, it will be like another AT situation, the current stars will basically be killed off if they get matched up against them

All it takes is one good performance and good numbers to sway the community imo. I think that's what they are trying to do, if u watch recent interviews Gib's manager has had with Fred (cannot remember wen the last one was lol), all they talk about is waiting for the next opportunity, creating storylines etc etc. I am pretty sure they are done with Kingpyn and if u recall, prior to Kingpyn announcement early last year, Gib was in talks to fight on the Jake v Tommy card in Saudi but it fell through, so I reckon this year another opportunity will come his way, he just working in silence as usual

The misfits scene is largely built around the social media/entertainment aspect cuz that drives the attention and numbers which is why they say misfits is it’s own product within the space. It’s all about the storylines and drama which drive the fights imo, people can call it a circus and complain about it fake and being a joke with no authenticity but they market has changed since 2018 and meeting the market standards is key

I feel like JJ was the best version of himself when he has around Viddal and Leon. Now it seems that the wrong people are in his life and you can see that in his behaviour recently

How MisFits thrives or should have been built to thrive is to do stacked PPV cards without KSI, like if he wasn't on the Prime card. I know they were probably shook the numbers won't bang without him, but if he's a talisman for success, failure is imminent without him, especially if he's serious about his retirement. They should have started doing stacked cards while he was still active, so he's not completely divorced from the fight game. Now it's gonna be kinda like McGregor turning up to UFC cards. He has 0 effect on anything because you know he ain't fighting anyone. Slim on 2 weeks notice slept Temper. Ed on a few days notice slept Swarmz. Obviously training camps are vital for being at your peak, but if you're already in decent shape, there's no reason why man can't pop out for a heavy spar.

The only one who could be the hub, carry misfits and the crossover boxing scene is Deji. And to be honest I think KSI knows it. He's the only brother left out of the four brothers that blew this up. He's got the reputation, natural talent and direct tie to KSI as his brother. The only problem is that he doesn't train seriously and consistently. But when took down Fousey, that fight blew up more than KSI's two fights. So I think Deji could be the future of misfits is he wanted to be and took it seriously. Even KSI bet him 1 million on sidecast to get a six pack this year because he wants to push him to train harder. I was like 17-18 when the trash talk between Jake and KSI started. I’m on my way to 24 now. That fight is wraps. I don’t think either of them actually want it, cause if they did they’d make sacrifices to make it happen. They’ll fight anyone else in the world except for each other.

I’d say the best way to describe it, is that Jake vs KSI is a Superfight within the scene. Whenever people think of a superfight, it is gonna be their names that are thrown in first which likely means until it is done, it will be hard to think of the next big thing creatively 😅 Once done however, some people do believe the scene can be close to finishing although it can also spark a lot more interest when people can start taking the spotlight, while letting Jake do his career and KSI enjoy himself Would be awesome if it gets done though but we shall see 👀

ngl u put it perfectly there, now thinking of it, it has to happen this year if they want someone else to take the spotlight after ksi imo. The rest of the guys in the scene (slim, kenny, gib, deji. salt, deen etc) dk if they will have their big fight this year and fans may lose interest in them so if KSI jake happens this year, ksi moves on from misfits and it sets the path for the next potential star who will already have the attention around them. I think it will be Deen if he is active this year cuz of his character, it could be Deji if he is active and promotes. People are saying Slim but idk, unless he brings in sponsorships and brand deals, I doubt it plus in his division what other attention grabbing fights are there other than a potential salt rematch?

It would have been a more credible win and i do think Slim has done so much for Misfits he deserves a Main Event fight.. and coming from a Devastating knockout against Temperr and on short notice, but NOW the fight makes no sense like Viddal said , if JJ goal is to fight and beat Jake he cant be fighting Slim on his Return fight and Jake will only go up in opposition and Jj coming from Tommy to Slim will be a huge downgrade so the fight makes no sense now..

But I do think Mams should focus on building slim more and giving him some good opportunities this year, he is a fan favourtie within the misfits scene, held the LHW and now MW belt so can use that as a storyline along with his wins etc but who is there in that division that is a good opponent and will hook the fans?

yeh agreed, I say by end of next year it's over unless some miracle happens and the numbers keep growing. Reason why it's stagnating the way it is, is because roster has not grown the way they anticipated and the quality of talent is just not it. They act like they only select based on set criteria but you can tell they don't care about quality and just quantity imo. Apart from the fan favourites (ksi, deji, slim, deen, kenny, salt, and potentially AT) what stars do they have? They ain't built up the talent in the right way imo and they are paying the price, if they think of a good strategy for this year they could be back on track but with the way things are going unless they branch out to crossover fighters/mma fighters fighting on the shows I don't see them lasting till the end of next year

Jake Paul and KSI does need to happen I agree how ever I feel it would make sense that Slim fights him. Slim has won all hes fights and has the most heart out of all influence boxers IMO. I would defo wanna watch that and im sure so would other people

Ksi vs jake paul should happen asap because yes we got some good card throughout the year but the excitement too build up for ksi vs jake will be on the same level as mayweather vs pacquio. But i got a feeling after ksi vs jake no ones gonna watch influencer boxing the same and the question will be what the next big fight. And i got a feeling that no one will watch salt papi, slim, deji etc the same way unless they elevate quite big. I thinl if ksi beats jake both will retired. And if jake wins then there maybe some hype in the scence as it will give jake motivation to carry on.

agreed, that's why I think this year mams needs to focus on building and elevating the next potential stars beyond ksi (slim, salt, deen, deji etc) and push for KSI Jake this year and if that cannot happen then at least they can go into 2025 with a set of potential stars if they spend this year really building their brand, presence etc, branch them out to work with other brands, get sponsorships etc.

To answer the question of who to put on the cover of a crossover boxing game, i think it's undoubtedly Deen the Great. Dude could easily score well in every metric other than defense. He punches hard, his timing and speed are amazing, his IQ is thru the roof, but his one area that is lacking is defense. Walid hit him with a hard left in the beginning of their fight, but Deen had the iq to get out of there in the moment and the toughness to continue to fire back. Let's see Deen on Rillest Rivals against someone like Tank or Ryan Garcia

Deji vs Bryce Hall could also save the scene

As of now there isn’t a Hub or atleast a permanent one, but Hubs are created through growth like salt papi got attention bit by bit and if he continued dominating then he would of been a Hub, as for high viewerships there will be people to follow those shoes if they decide to step into the boxing scene people like speed, kai etc they came out of nowhere and grew extremely quick and there will be more as each year goes by more people are found

It is true, but Manns is trying very hard to create the hub, but as soon as they announced it, you just have a Wade beef, happy punch drama and they don't fight but Wade imposes himself very hard because he is not in the Misfit scene and wants to be, just watch the tweeter space and his strategy by killing the scene bit by bit

And when Jake lost to Tommy, Jake literally said “nah don’t wanna do it I wanna fight Diaz”

KSI vs Jake at 183 with a 10lb rehydration clause is fair. Slim should never fight KSI😂 cause if Slim gets hit? It’s over. He got rocked by Salt Papi at like 165 right?

183 with rehydration is a bit KSI-biased. Make it 185+ with rehydration or 183 with no rehydration. Must not happen under PBA though. Would allow KSI to excessively clinch himself to a victory. A fight of this magnitude should be a proper pro fight, nothing less.

I think it dies regardless. There's simply not enough people doing what they need to do, and it doesn't feel like people are doing enough to sell their fights in the first place. If people were good enough at doing drama, selling fights etc., then it wouldn't need fights like Jake Paul vs KSI to survive, and nor would it hinge on it, even if everyone wants it. Then you have people starting, building up some hype and then retiring or having other avenues to explore. Personally, I'm of the avenue where I think I would rather not see Jake vs KSI, even if the fight does make sense. I just think hype and buildup aside will only be eclipsed by how boring the fight actually will be.

Exactly this, I think it comes down to the fighters doing more than just turning up on fight week. Misfits this year should invest in helping the roster grow and explore other avenues outside of misfits to help grow their profile, perhaps working with brands, bringing in sponsorship deals etc. It's those things that will help it last imo. Plus, u can tell the roster has not grown in the way they anticipated hence why you are seeing random names fighting especially on the upcoming non ppv event this month. I think when they have randoms fighting, they should invest in creating content in the leadup to get the fans asking questions, getting engaged etc. People say how Mams should get influencers from LA etc as that will bring in a new audience but let's be honest. these guys already have money and they ain't going to put aside their schedule to fight regularly on misfits, it will be a one time thing then back to usual for misfits. I think the only reason the UK non ppv shows have been doing well is because it's been fighters the fans enjoy or are familiar with, I have enjoyed some of the recent non ppv cards but this upcoming one idk how to feel about it, seems like a short notice mash up ngl

This is the only fight that’s left for ksi, I like what Jake’s doing fighting legit boxers and learning the craft but as for influencer boxing nobody will care if they fight anyone apart from each other, but I don’t think ksi wants it, which is a shame

I think either Tommy vs KSI rematch needs to happen or Tommy vs Logan they're the only fights I want to see in influencer boxing
