I bought an original vcd copy of this film. And gather my kids and my wife to watch this. This movie reminds us all that we are all Christians as we believe in eternal life that Jesus Christ already gave us when he redeemed all our souls as sinners.

As a former Senakulista (actor in the Senakulo), this film is a reminder of my childhood, a childhood filled with ceremony, spirituality, and religiosity.

This film is amazing, but not in English. Still great film. The costumes, the sets, music and acting is great. This film needs to be on DVD here in America and in English. Praise God for giving us his only son Jesus Christ to save us.

English viewer here, its great that you guys posted a remastered version of this film, i watched it a few years back and the movie was just hard to watch because of the low quality. I have a few questions though, particularly regarding the scene between Jesus and Herod, can anyone translate what was being said? And also, why did it immediately cut to Jesus being flogged instead of being sent back to Pilate, and why was it there are extra stuff such as sitting on the bench full of nails? Where did this tradition come from? Bible only said he was scourged and crowned with thorns.
