Wow I wish people would stop criticizing Kristin. She looks so lovely and so happy to be there, excited to promote the show. Maybe if people had less expectations of what people should be they would be more willing to just accept who they are. And she’s a vibrant, happy soul. Stop saying she’s drunk or that her lips this or her face that. Just appreciate her energy and what she has to share.

People will always criticize for having plastic surgery / procedures and they will also criticize us for aging. They're only happy if we're dead. Those people are misogynists and should get a life. Women exist and we will continue to exist even though misogynists are trying to take the rights to our own bodies away so we die more. I hope this country wakes up and realizes women are people.

So, as I understand it, Clint Eastwood is still running around making "tough guy" movies into his 90's and not a peep from anyone, but we're chastising these women in their FIFTIES for being too old to play the role of women discussing love and sex. If you don't see the double-standard, then I can't help you.

"too old" Pffff hahaha. It's funny, I believe when they were playing SINGLE women in their 30s they were also chastised. A lot of "Sex is for drunken college students and guys, women in their 30s just want to get married and have babies, and dedicate their entire lives to their families" comments must have been thrown around, and of course "there's no in between". I bet that the cast which defied society's standards once before is going succeee ALL OVER AGAIN.

Colbert shouldn't have to edit his questions just because one actress has been running around in the media bad mouthing everyone. In the end, I don't know who really was at fault in that fallout. But, in my personal opinion, it's very telling that literally everyone involved in the show (actors, writers, producers, crew) all still get along and happily work together, and one does not. I'm not buying any conspiracy that literally everyone ganged up on one person. Right or wrong, Cattrall's behavior in public speaks to what kind of person she is.

We've all been career /goal oriented, we've all made a dirty joke and been vulnerable, we've all just wanted to be loved, and we all question someone's motives. They are just like different components of the same woman. I wonder if Samantha is having an "I'm not having a reunion party"

I’ve always thought each character was meant to represent a single part of a woman. That’s why Samantha was so blatantly sexual, Charlotte was so much of a traditionalist, Miranda was the tougher, driven side, and Carrie the introspective seeker trying to put all these parts of herself together and reconcile them. But I do think society tends to limit women into that one-note category. Like if you are career driven, you must not be a good wife and mother. Or if you are a mother you must not be sexual (which makes no sense). Women are not singular, we can be many things at the same time. Don’t know if my ramblings make sense, but wanted to share my perspective.

I wonder why everyone blames Cattrall for her absence, you selfish pricks she's entitled to do whatever she pleases with her life/acting career, she just stood her ground when despite being as important as anybody else in the show refused to be treated as second class. It's a shame she is not there but I admire the woman for defending what's hers.

Kim Cattrall is known only for one thing: As Samantha Jones. For her to not come in for a few months work and instead chose to crap on the cast and crew is not only insulting but shows what an ingrate she is. Let me tell you, everything Cattrall has done has so far BOMBED!

I don't live inside "the biz", where getting work done seems powerfully cultural. I'm part of consumer culture that wonders how "the biz" overlooks that getting work done-even good work- just shows. "The biz" culturally overlooks it, I guess. I'll get used to it, but it really matters to me to express that I was looking forward to how this character was going to zazzle her age across her lifespan, cause she had it like that. :) Onward, I guess.

I agree that criticizing women for how they look is not cool. And of course we have the right to make choices about our bodies. But I think women have been sold a bill of goods about how these procedures improve their looks. I saw Kristin Davis in Holiday in the Wild (2019) with Rob Lowe, and she had aged so beautifully. I loved seeing this story of older folks with full lives falling in love. That's why I'm sad to see that she is no longer aging as herself, but she looks like so many others who have had the same work done. LIza Minelli, Goldie Hawn, Dolly Parton, Nicole Kidman, Courtney Cox, Christie Brinkley, just to name a few, all beautiful women who now have the same eyes, cheeks and lips. How do plastic surgeons get away with this?

@David’s Mom it's a sickness though. people are so horrified to age naturally that they are willing to undergo surgeries that actually make them look really ugly

  • @terrynicholetti4090

@David’s Mom I would agree with you except that I'm not so sure they are really happy if they look in the mirror and see the results. Of course i could be wrong. And I really want to know how the industry gets away with charging so much and making them all look the same . The average cost of a facelift is $8,005, according to 2020 statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. I just asked myself why I care since I'm never going to get one. I think it's because I have come to love many of these women for their work as performers, and it breaks my heart to see what they all look like so they don't have to show that they are aging. The irony is that we know they are aging when we see them all look like this.

@Proper exactly. there is no such thing as a surgery that makes a 60 year old look like 30. we will all look old one day. the question is only if it will be a natural old or a frankenstein deformed face lift type of old

They upload them in the correct order, you just have to start with the least recent upload to the most recent. It seems backwards if you're scrolling down your feed but they are usually uploaded correctly in the right order based on upload time.
