​@@petertastic But ghoul would mean you are dead to the plants, since both of your big guys would trade 1 for 1 (and you both had 6 minions)... Selfless gives 2 divine shields, that was the better minion. And apparently cannon made 3 shields go away, so it's even better than selfless hero! TIL

@@petertastic It's what he does, he complains. He got a good murloc start in this game which allowed him to push for a super early tavern 6 and then he rolled into 5 megasaurs. There was literally nothing challenging about his game. Meanwhile, you saw that your only shot at winning the game was to go for the super risky murloc transition in the mid-game which almost got you killed, but ultimately got you 2nd place. I'd say you outplayed everybody in the lobby, but Kripp got much luckier which allowed him to pull off the victory. Still, if you ask him, "never lucky."

@@connman8d617 Kripp said very plainly in the video that he got lucky. That's why he said khadgar is crazy, is that it was close against someone that got very lucky. Also, grabbing cannon was big brain play that not many people would see

At this point Kripp probably played way more murloc comp compared to all other comps in HSBattleground combined.

I mostly play murlocs too lately. I cant get any builds going otherwise. Everything else is too highroll. You either land this one piece early or you die.

Not too surprisingly: In this video, Kripp gets... first place. His most recent non-first video was one video ago, in THE EUDORA GAMBLE! where got 3rd as Eudora. His most recent bottom four video was 25 videos ago, in OMG I HATE THIS CARD! where got 7th as Kragg.

Kripp: 80% are token cannons. So what if I play murlocs. Final round: why not both?

Just one of those games where you're playing murlocs and don't get a single Brann.

Kripp hates the megasaur attack buff so much that he took divine shield and poison over the attack even though he had Devine shield and poison on all of his murlocs XD

Kripp was basically playing with his food the whole time

That cannon was 👏👏👏

Chadgar was a way more skilful play had to transition to get into the final 4.

Not sure about skillful, if you know the strategy is mostly just high APM and a bit of luck... its just usually a lot safer than going murlocs the whole game tho, so I guess there’s the skill in knowing that as well

In humans, it leads to the hippocampus, which has significant functions in creating and implementing short and long term memory. tl;dr your nose is connected directly to your memory "bank"

I think khadgar is a important part of battlegrounds because your opponent might get high rolls while you getting low rolls so with khadgar you get to break your rng and most of the player not able to pull of that strat so it's not a big problem at all

Brann + Khadgar is the best way to play murlocs - you play the midrange to stay alive and then pivot to murlocs to get the W

The tokens play a similar roll to the cannon. They're there to hopefully absorb a divine shield whether they attack into it or the plants attack into the other units. Either way if you have a game with a six divine shield poison murloc mirror if one has the plants and one doesn't it will HEAVILY help the player with the plants unless if they have taunt.

I find murlocs super easy to transition into, no brann or khadgar required

if there would be no megasaur he would not be able to token khadgar into murlock build, the transition is based on getting at least one megasaur with divine shield/poison from triple tokens

why does kripp say windfury is bad? doesn't that mean the poisonous get double attack? or is it cuz the windfury is likely to go into a shield in this specific scenario?

When you realize that Kripp was HERO POWERING to lock other 6 star minions to improve chances for megasaur...

What a surprise the final battle is all murlocs divine shield and poison vs all murlocs divine shield and poison...

I dont think kadgar is a problem. It happens so rarely and requires a such specific condition and is still a gamble. Its a fun hail mary build.

In my opinion, your mid game placement could be more efficient, when several units have poison I think it is wise to place those with the most health after the others

It's strange how many megasaurs that appear in this game?

It frustrates me to see Kriop holding on to low stat murloc scouts that has no chance of getting a tripple (without divine sheild or poison ) and selling tier 3 murlocs that has better base stats.It would deal much more damage to players.

"not super easy" as in, you need Khadgar and Brann for it? Well you always want Brann for Murlocs and Khadgar is a 3Star unit. It actually IS kind of easy if you compare it to any other possible fast strategy switch (so mainly only Beasts as alternative). I would go further than Kripp and remove Brann (and Baron) as well as he allows just too many stupid things to happen / is too much of a game winner compared to other cards.

@@UnseenIncognito I agree, Brann should be removed, or at least become a 6 star. Back in the day the way to win was get to lvl 4 and triple a brann or lightfang. Since then lightfangs been nerfed, but not brann for some reason.

Philerino the issue with murlocs is brann, you can still be strong in the mid / early game as long as you hit a brann and then just search for megasaur and buffs the whole rest of the game, atleast if brann is tier 6 you can actually punish murloc players early then.

@Kripparrian What do you think about a new game mode where instead of vsing 1 player each round, you vs every player and take damage equal to the average of your losses (0 if 0 or positive)... or maybe just take 1 damage for every loss? That way there's no variance about who you're matching up against. Dunno what the screen would look like though :p haha

They should remove megasaur and add another murloc that stat buffs so murlocs aren't invincible, just can scale stats fast in late game like the already can

Megasour is absolutely the problem. It completely defines what lategame is in battlegrounds. almost every build that only works until midgame would work through to the end with megasour gone.

Kyle Williams -He already said he “doesn’t know how”. In this vid he said he could finish his saved civ game in 3 hours, ergo editing 3++ hours of content is a lot of work. Another issue is you even watching a semi condensed version of that to its entirety anyway. Then I’m pretty sure Raina does the vast majority, if not all his editing. Convince your wife to do that huge multiplicative of work when she’s use to editing his 10-15 min BG vids. Don’t count on it sailor. Have to watch the stream.✌🏻

I feel like they should remove Megasaur and add a murloc ala Toxfin but for divine shields.

*Murlocs are the problem.* They do everything, Kripp always complains about pirates killing people to fast and there's no late-game. But murlocs make the late-game dull since they push out every other late-game build.

Imo murlocs aren’t a big problem in the game. You get to see the crazy highroll games on yt but you miss out on seeing the games where not everything goes right. Pirates and dragons are just as highrolly as murlocs they just don’t preform as well

I’m okay with murlocs getting poisonous and Devine shield but the problem is that they can get it too quickly and easily. My opinion is that blizzard should remove megasaur and replace it with the paladin card from mean streets of gadgetzan, grime street protector, that gives adjacent minions Devine shield. That way, murlocs are still the only tribe that can get poisonous and Devine shield but they have to do it manually over the course of several turns. Grimestreet protector would also buff some of the other weaker tribes such as stat based demons.

In the name of the God of Salt, I'm foreseeing a Kripp video from the future. Title: "AN UNDERDOG WINNER?" Hey guys, how's it going, Kripparrian here! Today I wanna give you guys: Reno Jackson! So, as you guys probably know, I'm not a big fan of Reno Jackson, in fact, I think, it's a pretty crappy hero, but Battlegrounds is not all about playing the best heroes all the time. (Not for me at least.) But hey, Reno just received a new buff, his hero power now costs 2 instead of 3, and while I'm still trying to figure out what that means, experimenting with new strategies, the games are a little bit longer - not that much, maaaaybe a turn, sometimes a half turn, so that means, the hero power itself is not bad! Now, the main issue with Reno is that most of the people wanna use the hero power *after* committing to a strategy. You know, like turning a Baron or a Brann into a golden card. Well, here's the thing: if you can get a fair early game, you don't have to get a golden copy of Brann, it's simply good enough if you get it first in the lobby. That means, it's worth at least considering to use the hero power even on a taven 2 card, like Kaboom Bot, or rather, the Rat Pack! It's even better if King Mukla is present in the game, because he gives you an easier way to buff your beast. Having a 7/7 in the early game, that summons seven 2/2-s, or even five, is preeetty good. With this strategy, you can power level very fast without barely losing hp, then you can enter the late game with a slight advantage, where you can transition into, you know, a real build. Reno Jackson! Is it a good hero? Probably not. Is it worth to try? Definitely. So check it out if you like the idea, hope you're also going to like today's video, and I'll see you guys next time :)
