I’d also like to think that if he’s a bit overwhelmed by both blades swinging at him and BOI shooting at him he’d probably just swing his hammer in and arch and lightning pulsing out of it would just hit anything coming at him

@@Dookieman1975 Except he will get vastly overwhelmed. Overwhelmingly so. Mjolnir is a joke compared to the Blades of Chaos. The game,the novelization and the the Lost pages confirm that Leviathan was built as Mjolnir's total equal, to restore the balance of power between the Jotnar and the Aesir and was inspired by Jormungandr's massive size. And it's also now imbued with Eitr a very poisonous substance,the very venom that kills Thor during Ragnarok. In the novelization when Atreus falls ill Freya not only tells Kratos that Leviathan will be totally useless in Hellheim she also tells him that he will need a more powerful weapon to succeed in his quest. So by default Mjolnir and Leviathan are inferior to the Blades. The novelization also says that the blades are completly indestructible, that they hum with a power that will never die and never be silenced and that they can never be broken or dulled. Thirdly Kratos is a full-on god Thor is just a demigod. And Kratos has fried way bigger fish. Gods that would absolutely trample Thor.

@@theonewhoismany8072 problem is Thor is op, especially with mjolnir. The stuff he’s done in the game’s lore and the myths are insane. He wiped out the giants who are extremely skilled in magic. Not to mention the trials Utgard Loki put him through were supposed to be impossible even for a god/giant, and he almost succeeded to the point of almost causing catastrophic damage to Midgard. He literally fought old age and put up a good fight. And he didn’t just try to pick up the world serpent he fought it later and almost won. The dwarves made leviathan to be mjolnir’s equal but we don’t really see it do as much impressive stuff but that could be because the brothers weren’t exactly getting along or working together that well before they split and if they make an op weapon for the giants after making one for the gods, that would put a target on their backs so they may have tweaked it so that it might be less powerful. The thing is the trailer shows that they’re equals when they hit each other, cannot overpower each other, and the axe seems to have cut into the hammer, meaning they’re the only ones that can damage each other if they’re both indestructible. And the blades of chaos render leviathan useless because it’s helhiem, a land of frost and ice based monsters. And freya added “something more powerful” because if he didn’t have something related to fire he needed a more powerful weapon and it doesn’t get any stronger than leviathan. However, the Greek gods were more powerful than the Norse since they were born immortal but I don’t think there was anyone that was as strong as Thor except for Zeus. And even tho thor is a demigod, he’s part giant like Atreus. And Atreus is weak compared to them but relies on skill and brains that kratos taught him and seems to be learning magic with the upgrades on the bow. So it doesn’t really matter if you’re half god or not. Kratos is also a Demigod made God because he was already born with Herculean strength, got much stronger with ares, was gifted immortality,l (which made him an official god) is cursed to never be able to kill himself, and is a spartan. And Thor is still a major Aesir from the Viking age who knows how to fight, use magic (revived his goats countless times and uses lightning) and isn’t slow either. I’d say Thor and kratos are on a more even level despite Thor giving an impression he’s stronger but kratos uses skills he learned as a spartan while Thor is still a meat head despite knowing how to fight. But if you think about it, why would they hype up a villian to be threatening and op when he’s on the same level as the guy you’re playing or even at a disadvantage?

All he did impressive in game is shake the nine realms and splinter Yggdrasill in his fight with Jormungandr. Barely anything special to all Kratos has done and all the gods and titans he has defeated some among wich would trample Thor. The giants are barely anything special to the Titans. All that about fighting old age and almost winining against Jormungandr is in myth not the game. The game, the lost pages,the nove say loud and clear that Leviathan is every bit as powerful as Mjolnir and now is imbued with Eitr the very venom that kills Thor during Ragnarok. The Blades are more powerful than both and don't have the weakness of breaking or getting dull and are indestructible weapons. Leviathan and Mjolnir are not indestructible. Brokkr said as much about Leviathan that if its not maintained well it can break beyond repair and that would go for Mjolnir too since it's made by the same people. The Blades cannot. Except Freya told Kratos in the novel that he will need a more powerful weapon in Hellheim reffering to the Blades. And again the blades cannot be broken or destroyed,cannot be dulled and they hum with a power that cannot die and cannot be silenced. The hammer sure as hell can be. Kronos created time upon his birth.Took on and defeated his father Uranus who created the universe, in a battle of cosmic scale.Comparable, although slightly inferior, to Atlas in physical strength who holds the entire world on his back.The Greek Reality in God of War was shown to contain numerous universe-sized dimensions bordering the main universe, such as Thanatos's Domain of Death, which predates even the Titans themselves, Nyx’s parallel dimension of eternal night, and Morpheus's Dream Realm, which had its own flow of time who Kratos overpowered even as he had the power of helios who can light up the entire underworld wich is infinite.His powers were able to cause severe damage to and destroy the Pillar of the World, which held up the entire universe for eons and would destroy all of creation and all of existence were it to fall down, as well as cause the world to revert into Chaos, the primeval realm that preceded both space and time. Again that revival thing is in myths not the game. You should not confuse his abillities in the games and his abillities in myths. At the end of the day Thor and Odin should be mere ants to Kratos. Kratos has fried way bigger fish than them and has feats and abillities that makes theirs look punny in comparison. And this is shown with Odin trying to mess with Kratos mentally. He knows 1v1 he'd get trampled.

The usage of thor's lighting on the chains of the blades was so smart, and the using rage of sparta to put them in fire was spectacular, loved every second of this fight

0:44 when that happens in the final battle against Thor, I feel so happy cause I remember watching this animation and think "oh man, sad they will not put it into the game". just imagine how excited I was when Thor performed the exact same move. You should be proud, what an amazing Job!

Kratos using the boulder to distract Thor and suplex him is just amazing demonstration of both his greek origins as well as his spartan strategic thinking

I believe the voice actor of thor stated thor's height, I cant remember the height exactly but It indicates that thor is a little bit taller than Kratos but shorter than Magni.

kratos is pretty tall,so thor would be around his height. magni was just freakishly big. hes probably not the average size asgardian size doesnt reflect strength or power in the game magni was easily killed by kratos, i can bet anything thor is far stronger than magni

I like to imagine that Thor in that moment before Kratos body slammed and gut punched him was genuinely shocked at the strength of Kratos. If I remember my Norse mythos correctly, Thor was by far the strongest of all the gods, literally going around killing giants left right and centre. So suddenly being similarly matched in strength and power by what he probably presumed was some other foreign godlike being for possibly the first time in his life would have come as a great shock to him.

Oh man! The blows will shatter the nine realms. To be honest a small part of me want their weapons to break so we can see them go hands only! Would be frickin’ brutal to hear the full non-held back punches of a big hulking Thor and the Ghost of Sparta!

it really gives me GOW vibes, that type of high anxiety moment is great

Weirdly enough this is still better than the final product. Kudos to the animator for filling that void. The first fight was really good but then when it came to the final fight, its the same old arena as Heimdall's initial battle and Odin's 2 phases. Nowhere near as grand as GOW:2018's Baldur plus Thamur spectacle. Everyone probably expected at least fighting on the wall and Jormangandr joining the battle and seeing Thor close up punch him to the past but instead its put on as backdrop only. We never even see Surtr destroy the wall or even a full body.

Yeah, those are some things I’m really not pleased about. We don’t get Thor’s hammer, we don’t kill Thor and on top of that we still didn’t see Kratos go all out. I was hoping Thor would try to throw his hammer at Atreus and that Kratos would finally snap

one detail i liked, was that this showed a very rare instance when kratos taps into his godly rage and fails to defeat the opponent instantly, kratos went into rage and still didn’t defeat thor, the fight still was matched, im pretty sure this would confuse kratos, this bein the only god that’s ever been able to not succumb to his rage

Yes I hope Thor actually has a lot of battle experience like Kratos. That way their fight isn’t just rage vs rage. But also with tactical strategy and quick thinking. That would make the fight even better

@@Creshen I think Thor is confirmed to be older than Kratos, by at least 1,500 years. So he has as much experience if not even more. I wouldn't be surprised if Thor straight up kills him and Atreus becomes the protagonist.

After having played Ragnarök, and finished the campaign, and coming back here. Most of the movies you predicted for Thor were accurate. Which is insane

How wonder how the actual gameplay will be? I want the cutscenes to resemble this but make it brutal and sloppy. I want them to not care about there surroundings. Fire ice, Lightning and blood all over the place. 🔥

The fact that the latest railer ended with same type of blow this guy predicted the future

What I'm really looking forward to is the fact that it seems like finally Kratos has met his match, the only God out there whom might have his same strength, and maybe even surpass it. I mean look at the giants, those guys were huge and powerful and Thor literally killed all of them, and probably even enjoyed doing so. I cannot wait to fight the biggest butchering bastard of all the nine realms.

Not only did we not get Mjlnior but Kratos didn’t kill Thor. Nor did he even go all out still, since he was caught up trying to turn Thor good

This was actually way better than the soft fight the game offered ...

I hate how at the end of the first fight when Kratos let loose just little when Thor mentioned Atreus. And Thor then pulled a tooth out, that it ended right there. We only got to see Kratos kill one god. I wish he was forced to kill Thor and Odin in a 2v1. I also came up with a dream scenario where Thor would try to snap for Mjlnior but Kratos would hold his hand open and break his fingers

@@Creshen The game destroyed Thor and made him disappointed, and The whole game was serving the interests of Kratos. Thank God, the prophecy was not fulfilled and Thor destroyed Kratos' head. The fight was disappointing. I expected there to be competition between them, but this did not happen

The game story felt like u play to solve some minor family issues , not real GOD fights, i would love to see a bloody serious fight against thor , oden wear the green mask and gets a scary power that would make kratos activate his real powers , i wanted them to destroy mountains, while fighting , i wanted some darkness and sadness, i didnt want the big focus on the son nor the dwarfs , nor freyas brother , most game resources were wasted on needless stories and characters, im a big fan of god of war but i swear they could have done much better .....

The legendary roar Kratos let out as he knocked out one of Thors teeth. Let me know he could’ve killed Thor then and there if he had chosen not to control his rage and stop. I was hoping to see something like Kratos using his chains to choke Thor and pierce his eyes with the spear. Even humiliate him that while Thor snaps for Mjlnior, Kratos grabs it and fully stops its momentum. To where Thor snaps for it while it’s in Kratos’ hands. But he doesn’t even budge

Everyone gonna act like they don't remember but thor killed kratos their first encounter then brought him back to life because he wasn't satisfied with how kratos was fighting him 🤣🤣🤣

Ragnarok was a joke of a GOW game

i didn't think that i would see an interesting storyboard initially which honestly made me surprised. well done man i loved how you integrated kratos's previous feats with those of baldur and sons of thor. i wish to see more of you. good luck and keep on cooking

C: Leviathan is equal to Mjolnir however the Blades of Chaos are confirmed by the novelization to be more powerful than both, to be indestructible, to hum with a power that will never die and never be silenced and that they cannot be broken or dulled. Blades of Chaos>Mjolnir&Leviathan. Things look very bad for the fat dobber.

I love the fact that Old Kratos' most powerful ability is him channeling his rage, with his arms as metaphorical conduits, and fist-fighting whatever the fuck is in front of him. Even against Thor himself.
