    lmaooo yea he beat the hell out of that guy it always threw me off. Kratos plunged his blades in his back while in the underworld just to climb up this cliff edge. Once Kratos gathered his balance he kicked him into the pit of the underworld. Young Kratos was ruthless but there were moments where he would seemingly go out of his way to cause as much pain and carnage as possible. Another one was when he bashed this guys face in repeatedly to complete a puzzle..I feel like he was filled with so much trauma and inner turmoil that was his way of raging back at the world. Good things hes changed now

    I'm pretty sure in God of War 2 he forced a guy to read a book then killed him because one of the mechanisms to one of the puzzles required a blood sacrifice to activate. In GoW 3 he also bound one of Poseidon's sex slaves underneath a lever and let her be slowly crushed under its weight so he could bypass the gate. Old Kratos was pretty barbaric all things considered. I wonder how Pandora would've felt about him had she known he butchered her father not too long before their meeting. 🤔

But it would have been nice to see some old faces. Surprised Athena didn’t chime in. She could have even been real too. We know she’s watching him. Maybe not making herself known but she did appear in the last game.

    For those who have not played the first game, the Boat Captain was a pathetic man who abandoned his men to die when the Hydra came. He earned OG Kratos’ disgust for that. I think it's more then kratos being disgusted with someone it's how he views himself as a man or a God. In the older games kratos always raged and yelled how the gods have wronged him but he didn't see or care about how his conquest for vengeance was harming innocents with disasters and plagues. That he realized he was no better then the gods he had sworn vengeance against.

  • @preds43

    @preds43

    6 ай бұрын

    Kratos didn't do any of that with hope in mind tho. The hope argument only really came late into GoW 3, and it's continued in the Norse Saga as well. Killing the boat captain, as well as other things were simply means to an end for Kratos (Either via him serving the Gods, or him trying to claim something, or him trying to gain revenge). Back then, he was ruthless and did not care. Now? He's not that, and after past reflections, yeah, he would get sympathetic over it all. He was a cruel man, and it haunted him for a long time. Valhalla is the first time he actually tried to conquer his regrets and choices from past games however.
