Kranman T1750 Hydraulic Timber Trailer -Viewer Questions Answered -E45

Jason takes a few minutes to answer some viewer questions on the Kranman T1750 hydraulic timber trailer. He has the new Kubota B2601 tractor hooked up to the trailer as a power source.
How long is the trailer, does it extend? How far will the boom rotate, 180 degrees or more? How far away do you have to be before the wireless remote on the hydraulic winch stops working?
Check out the video to see the answers!

    Nice setup. A pair of log tongs is soooo much handier than the chain setup you have on the winch.

    Hi, thanks for stopping by. I bought a set of tongs to go with the trailer but with our smaller diameter wood, they would often come off of the log. They work really well on wood that is 8" diameter and up but not so great on the smaller stuff. That's why I converted over to the choker and grab! Thanks for the note! Jason

    Thanks for the video. I'm surprised how big of a log it will handle. That's impressive.

    Awesome, thanks. I’m actually building one. I appreciate some of the dimensions I was curious as to what some of the lengths were and lifting capacity. I’ve never seen one in person so I’m designing from what I see.

    @@OakMountainAcotts yess! I was curious as to the boom lengths per piece, It sort of looks like 2x4 tubular tubing for the actual boom and stick itself is that correct? Thank you I really appreciate it!

    How's she goin'? Great job on the demo of the trailer specs. It sure looks like a very capable unit and if it will lift that 16 foot log, I think it will handle most anything!!! Thanks for sharing and take care!!

    good video , did this trail put a lot of tung weight on your atv ,

  • @OakMountainAcotts

    @OakMountainAcotts

    2 жыл бұрын

    I found the weight to be well balanced on the trailer and not excessive on the hitch. I was concerned with the amount of weight I hauled though as it was well over the engineered spec for the ATV. I upgraded the ATV to a B2601 Kubota tractor which seems to be paired well with the trailer!

    @@OakMountainAcotts I built a log Trailer with a crane and was surprised how easily it pulled with my Kodak 700 and even a 450 with a load of logs , I’ve been looking at one like yours for a few years now , think there is a dealer here in NS , your videos answered a lot of my questions . 👍

    Is it nicer to be running the trailer from the tractor hydraulics instead of the power unit that you need for when you are using the ATV?

  • @OakMountainAcotts

    @OakMountainAcotts

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Al, they both have their pros and cons.... I liked standing up to run the controls on the ATV compared to kneeling on the seat of the tractor but the tractor is properly sized for the trailer and load while the ATV was at its' limit.

    Hi Josh, the trailer needs 3 gpm flow. One feed from the tractor and one return so you just have to have one rear remote on the tractor. Thanks for watching!

    We are outside of Fredericton. The trailers are fantastic but for me there needs to be a payback. It needs to handle 100 cords of firewood as a minimum but with all of our gear combined, the total volume is much higher. We are developing our Woodlot for continuous and sustainable harvest so my plan is to look after the gear and work it for the next 20 years. If you do the math on that, it makes sense to invest. Hope this helps!

    Approximately how much does your trailer retail for?

    Hi Mike, we paid a little over $22K CDN plus HST for the trailer when we purchased it. This included the upgrade with remote controlled winch and the extend-a-boom options. Pretty expensive but it seems to be working out well for us. Take care, Jason.
