Kraken Yachts - Solent Rig Explanation by Dick Beaumont

I was headed to Turkey to see for myself just how good these Kraken Yachts are with my own eyes!
I was pleasantly surprised - they exceeded my expectations greatly!

good boat tour, but you did forget to say, that bow locker is Perfect for unruly kids (detention), for them to 'cool down' a bit.

Although i do respect the boat and its builder, but on the other hand i admire your camera lens showing some quality detail such as stainless steel welding and teak wood sealant quality 😉

Read good reviews on the eWincher, the owner might want to give it a try before upgrading to electric winches.

This is hugely impressive, and so well thought out. Does anyone know a rich widow I could meet who might be willing to buy one for me? It's either that or embark on a life of crime...

Hmm, if you’ve got shore power to the bow locker, you have to keep the hatch open? Or did I miss another ingress for the cable?

The hatch locker has a notch cut out one the aft side of the hatch locker tops in the aft centre, and a notch is cut out out the forward inner gulley, the hatch drains are athwartships, the cable runs in the gulley then down into the lazarette to plug in. When the yacht goes to sea a rubber grommet fits into the forward inner gulley.

Really enjoying learning about kraken yachts. Just puzzled by one small oddity.... Why are the forward deck hatches hinged at the rear? This potentially could allow water coming over the boat in a case where the hatch was left unlatched or had a faulty latch. Surely hinged at the front as is common on commercial vessels would be be safer?

Plus side is that you can catch some fresh air for the cabin while underway. Maybe some sort of double-sided opening hatch is a good compromise between the two?

Very informative videos. Clearly built on years of off-shore sailing experience and impeccable workmanship. Put my name down if you need crew to sail it across :)

Just to be that annoying guy on youtube - but shouldn't there be a shackel between the swivel and the anchor? Beautiful boat and amazing atention to detail on everything else :-)!
