KR MOD DEATHMATCH: CERBERUS VERSUS ALL KINGDOM RUSH BOSSES

Sub boss versus a boss makes for quite an interesting and entertaining event to witness. This Cerberus makes for quite the candidate, and is one of Kingdom Rush's most baddest "arse" of an enemy. This triple headed underworld beast has highest HP of all non-boss enemies at a whopping 7200 HP. He also possess high armor making his battles with bosses that cannot deal magic or true damage equivalent to a very slow sand hourglass. The battles with him will be tiresome for all that war with him, and will really test the bosses to see if they deserve to remain as the kings of their environment. There is no end to the zany antics that ensue from these battles. Does Cerberus really deserve to be recognized as a head honcho boss, or is he rightfully "in his place" as a sub boss?

    Yeah, he would've tried to instakill, but the Cerberus is immune to instakills anyway so it would not have done anything to him

    After today's video of cerberus vs troll breaker in which *spoiler. Cerberus lost by a large margin. I'm kinda bugged. wtf is going on? I'm being too lazy to think. It's the cerberus attacks that are too weak to deal with the troll making his regen a problem? Then why the troll lost to more bosses? their attacks are stronger then the cerberus so the cerberus HP ended up being more important than the Troll's regen? Or has to do with the armor and damage tipe dealt by the bosses?

    Well, a lot of it has to do with the fact the Cerberus has a much bigger HP pool and higher armor rating. Also, he attacks much faster than the breaker. However, in a one on one, that would not fair to well against the breaker because the Cerberus is averaging about 28-36 while the breaker is regenerating 30 HP/sec. Therefore, approximately every second the breaker is losing anywhere from 0-6 HP or having a net gain of 1-2 HP per second. That is why he barely was losing any HP to the Cerberus in combat. However, the breaker was dishing out between 20-32 damage every 2 seconds.

    Also why can't you let most of the bosses use their abilities. I know some of them have instakill ones but you should let bosses like Lord Blackburn and JT stun.

  • @warchampion8788

    Good question there and I am glad you asked. It is for the purpose of making the fights "fair". The reason I took away the stunning from JT is that it sort of serves no purpose for him when it is meant to be a 1 on 1 combat. JT only disables towers and gets tired for 4 seconds so I prefer that not be part of it to make it a straight up fight. For Lord Blackburn, disabling his stunning is a good thing because based on his ability, when Blackburn does his stunning, the unit will get immobilized for 4 seconds (since it is not a hero). This time duration while your unit is immobile lasts long enough for blackburn to advance some steps forward before your unit will be able to fight again. Depending on that how far that unit's melee offset engagement is, this will have a direct effect on the work I could potentially have to do every time to make sure our unit intercepts Blackburn to force a melee combat. So, if I happen to take too long micromanaging the unit to cut off Blackburn, our unit could end up regenerating a little bit of his HP which would not be "fair" and actually take away from the integrity of it being a "fair fight" if that makes sense. Matter of fact, since Blackburn would end up taking a couple of steps forward anyway before the stunning effect on our unit wears off, he would eventually escape the battlefield because of his high armor and high enough HP to withstand our unit's assault.

    @@warchampion8788 What if we changed Blackburn's stun to still stun the unit, but he doesn't move and combat still goes on so it gives him the opportunity to attack.

    @@Jay-bm7fl That's a good idea. I did actually think of that and coded for that to happen, but the outcome of it was that I just could not get it to properly synchronize to where he wont move. The problem is his movement speed (well all enemy movement per say) is coded to where it is really hard to match the wear-off effects of his stunning capability. Also, it is very cumbersome having to keep doing trial and error on that as I would have to start the game, exit out of the game, code it again, and start the game up over and over just to get it perfect. I just made it simple to where he does not do any stunning.

  • @warchampion8788

    @warchampion8788

    @@Jay-bm7fl And, to add on to that, I believe that the coding for blackburn is hardwired for him to keep walking forward when his victim is stunned. In other words, though I honestly believe there is a way to prevent him from moving forward after stunning, I won't have a way to manipulate that variable because it is already an ingrained script for his combat protocols, and I don't have access to his script file. If only I knew of a way to decrypt the file, I believe I can make it happen.
