For all of the people out here saying that they’re “attacking” the k-pop artist, Korean beauty standards are very well known and very high. I you happen to wear a certain shade of purple for example, they assume that your family doesn’t care about you. My grandmother is Korean and it is very hard to please her.

Im so confused by this video, all the things they are writing are ideal korean beauty standards. I lived in korea before the pandemic for 2 years, and all the things they saying they beat, are korean ideal beauty standards.. pale skin, still get bullied if your dark, perfect teeth, most of my koreans friends had extensive dental work to have perfect teeth, the v line is the ideal jaw. Im so confused. All of these are korean beauty standards, so they dont break them they fit in with them????

I think it would fit better if the idols had body proportions to their height and what they like. Maybe what others see is not always what one sees. It’s really unhealthy to be skinny like that, especially when you get old. These “industries” just want money’s done they use the idols as the bait for money.

But her round faces have a small good jawline, and make her look cute like a cat but have sexy vibes at the sametime because her long eyes. Thats it make it Jennie look different. Cause mine really round. I am in underweight and still have no jawline. I really frustated.

Which Hwasa does look like, and surpasses a normal level of it by also being extra beautiful on top. Korea's kind of plastic surgery ideal look they have rn would be considered the "ugly" look lmfao. I guess that would change, though, if the younger generation doesn't phase korean culture out of mainstream culture within the next 10 years. Then, the more white, artificially obtained look would start to be the new western ideal for asians too. But it really seems like people are tired of plastic surgery and a natural renaissance is about to come lol

The way Hwasa was once considered "not fitting" in their beauty standards but now we can see idols look up to her.

No hate to other idols on this list but aside Hwasa, everything is accepted even it is not included on the list of standard. Having monolids, imperfect teeth, not v-shaped face, older idols already have that like Sohee (visual of Wonder Girls), Jung YongHwa (having imperfect alignment of teeth) and the spotless skin I do think its very rare of Korean having freckles and beside it is only few idols having that (I only know Felix having freckles) But if we talk about mole, mole is already included in make up so it is not a problem. But dark to tan skin, what they called "FAT" but in reality they are just fit and also having pimples (sadly Cha Eun Woo was once criticize because of having pimple) is still not accepted by many. Hwasa was criticized for being dark-skinned and fat. That's why she's breaking the rules of their beauty standard. The rest was not criticize too much like Hwasa.

yeah, hwasa is way more a challenger of the Korean beauty standards than any of the other idols, she actively does that, her darker skin, thicc body, face that is not small and she doesn't try to hide it, instead she embraces it with confidence not even a fan of mamamoo but I respect hwasa a lot

@@nathalykim1263 you have to be brave enough to have this kind of confidence in toxic kpop world and I respect Hwasa for that. Maybe because I'm already an "aunt" kpop and I saw countless controversies thats why for me on this list, only hwasa was breaking the rules of their beauty standard.

I agree with u on some stuff but Jennie got alot of hate and was called the Visual hole. She breaks a lot of standers and many people noticed that. Also Hwasa is better or any more special than any other idol.
