You can REALLY see how much Thesaurus enjoys battle rap. Like he legitimately will give his opponent props right then and there. Like the way you see it in the small market things.

From biggest villain to most loved battle rapper in the game. What a journey. And battle rap was only a small part of his life. RIP PAT STAY!!!

REPLAY VALUE. Thats what so many legendary KOTD battles have that keeps me coming back. Classic. Great mix of Bars/Personals/Jokes from both. KOTD and all its battlers could've really taken off if they didn't try to fit in with all the other leagues and writing styles to please those shitty types of fans.

Pat choked and got barred to death after openly acknowledging his respect and admiration for him in the first place. You gonna swing on your role model? At this point in their careers Saurus was vastly more experienced. He predicted Pat's approach exactly, was ready for it and rebutted it without losing any cool or poise while getting way more reaction from a Toronto crowd.. 4-1 decision on Canadian soil and the one judge who voted for Pat is a strung out assistant manager at Hot Topic who knitted his own beanie. Saurus also hasn't been known to smoke crack, inject steroids or regularly act suss in public due to undiagnosed mental disorders, nor is it likely that his death will be caused by a stab wound on the bank of a Canadian river. Rest in Peace Pat but GTFOH sweetheart. Oh and if you read the description of this video, KOTD basically openly acknowledges that the Grand Prix was a sham and Saurus and Illmac got jerked. If you can't beat em just copy the JumpOff model and rig it. The Saugus. Rebuttals for pat were amazing. In each round the Saurus had a very powerful bar that turnt the crowd up.

I barely finished the interviews in the beginning and I'm stoked, can't wait, this one will be good.

This is my favorite battle from 2012. I always gave it to Saurus, but I understand giving it to Pat. Pat's writtens and multis were fucking insane. Choke kinda hurt. Saurus is the ONLY one I've seen to kinda bully Pat and that's what gave him the win, IMO..

GOD this editing and performance by the emcees is AMAZING it's like a movie coming back to this years later.

With the recent revelations about battlers sparring/rehearsing before spitting the same rounds in front of a crowd later, are there any battles you look back on and wonder if any of the, "classics" we've seen over the years were scripted, practiced, rehearsed/ written together? It's really pissed me off, even Danny Myers 😢. ✌🏾🕊️

I'm not a The Saurus fan really (and I'm a Pat Stay fan), but if you thought The Saurus lost this battle, you're tripping. This was a clear 2-1 imo.

Pat had better rhymes More reaction from the crowd More creative In Peter's first round one of his biggest crowd reaction what the long multi ending with suck a fat dick and was a flip of Pats catch phrase. Pats had the ..heard was a whistle and the ...bastard till he spells my first name back wards. Plus all the remarks about his dad. That's just the first. I'm a fan of both of em Pete had the one of the best name flip in history QP in the 2nd. But Pat took this.Hands down

Two beasts, great battle, regardless of prep time. Peter and Pat both have great charisma and stage presence. Would fucking LOVE to see these guys team up for a 2vs2. Maybe against Troy Brown and Real Deal. Fucking love these guys, major props.

one of my all-time favorite battles. great example of the chess element to battle rap. no doubt, Pat had the better pen, but Thesaurus was able to predict his angles enough to write very effective pre-rebuttals. It deflated Pat's stuff.

The people saying Pat got robbed in the comments are wrong. Thesaurus had a flawless performance and when the battle is this close, the judges almost always give it to the rapper who didn't stumble. However i think that the judges would've gave it to Pat if he didn't choke.

in a rap battle, nothing is off-limits. the norm of a battle is that respect and friendships are thrown right out the door or flushed down the toilet once those first lines are said. what matters is how you show love and respect for your opponent after the battle and that goes for the other people you attacked or mentioned in your verse. What Pat said was extremely disrespectful but it's verbal warfare, it's open season so don't hold it against him. respect to Pat and The Saurus. two of the best in the game today and of all fucking time.

I had it 2-1 Pat Stay with r1 and r3 being very close but round 2 being the clearest round going to The Saurus. Really close and an amazing battle

Its hard to say at this point. Hollohan is a beast but hasnt gone head on with anyone in a while. Plus no matter who it is he does they going to use the same material everyone else has in the past on him. But hollohan comes up with new fresh material for each person he goes up with. Though Dizaster goes hard as Fuck and been trying to blend and change his style up witch is cool to see. But been on gun bars a little much lately. And he lets the crowed get to him to quick. But they should shut up. Im a fan of both started watching when kotd started and was always a fan of Hollohan cause even though he knew they would use some deep personal shit on him he still brought some sick bars. And when he faded out Dizaster came in to fill that spot. So your question is a tuff one for me cause i think the both Titans in there own right
