This was entertaining. There is no clear winner or loser, just two cats putting on an entertaining performance. I felt this match up was good. We get to watch ICE adjust his style to non-street battler. He actually does well with them. His battle with Pat Stay is proof of that. Carter has come a long way. His bars are just clean and comical but he mixes in some direct material as well. He deserves his recognition.

I like that Carter Deems doesn't take himself so seriously and he can make fun of himself. Every now and then it's a refreshing change from typical battle rappers. He's also got actual bars. "Feeling sheepish around the goat I'll pack a (alpaca) llama" Not too shabby.

Head Ice first round, not bullshittin, was actually amazing. The way that he weaved in witty remarks about Deems, then added in his usual story-telling persona was very solid. I think if Ice keeps up these performances he deserves a shot at the chain, after Bigg K.

I don't think anybody ever loses in a battle with Carter Deems in it. He forces even vets to rethink their techniques and switch up their bar content. He takes kill'em with kindness to a new level and is hilarious. ICE is dope obviously. I just always welcome Deem's break in the aggression.

Good battle rap for the culture. Battling is not all about gun play and drug trafficking. MC stands for Microphone Controller. The art form was for entertainment of who had the better make believe rhymes. Yes Melly Mel brought that real inner city struggle ( Respect ). My point is to enjoy the culture of many styles of different ethnic back grounds, including religious ( Salute SAGA! ) and don't forget about the blk awareness root rapping ( Salute Dead Pres ). Just enjoy what's talent. Respect ICE talent to stay within his own style, but bringing what matter the most ( passion ). Rematch Cortez VS ICE 2 we need that.
