The Korg X3 has great sounds! I love the combis and programs! It's first synth I owned! Korg X3 rules! I made some songs with that synth! Thanks to all who listen to them!

Bell Come, Dimmu Borgir used that sound in some songs, I have the sound in nki format for Kontakt, although the nki sounds never sound the same as the original, some sharpness is always lost.

@@juandg442 what else do you have by X3? As much as you're obsessed with Borgir, I'm with Blackout, the Memphis producer haha. I'm digging deep to find X3 stuff bc of him.

What do you think about X3 Pianos? Are they good? I have the X3R but haven't really had time to check them and see in which kind of song they would fit....

They are shit! I bought this new in 1994 (or 93 actually) and the pianos are pretty soft and "dead". What this synth does amazingly well are some pads that still sound fantastic after all this years. This was my first workstation and my second synth. I could have bought a Wavestation instead, or a K2000. But the X3 was kind of affordable back then and had effects, a floppy disk and a pretty decent sequencer. I learnt all the basics here and made quite a bit of experimental IDM back then. Now it feels like a big paperweight compared to my analogs and my Prophet 12... but I learnt everything with my old X3.

@@daniberlanga Same here! I learned how to compose songs with the Korg X3 and the Yamaha PSR500 which is a very nice entertainer keyboard!

Hello folks, all outputs (L+R) and the headphone output of my Korg X3 are noisy. The noise is there even if you don't play any sound. Does anyone have experience with how to fix the problem? Best regards

Hi. This might be old, faulty capacitors on main board. On my korg X3 I had noise in left channel on headphones and left main output. I bought second, korg X3, broken but with good main board and replaced main boards. That solved the problem in my case.
