I really dig these short -20 min videos! Those constant hour+ live streams are a but much for me. I never catch them live and usually only watch about 5 or so minutes total using the double tap fast forward to get the gist. I always strike the “like” though, even if I only watch for a minute or so.

I do like these videos better than the live videos.

Hi! I am enjoying your videos and learning a bit. I’m new to this so it’s most helpful. I’m planning to use the module live so the set list option is so cool. I’ve been playing around on an iPad but how decided to buy a different iPad to dedicated for my music and playing out live. Do you know if there is a way to back up the set list, or transfer to a new device? Also, I started out with the free module then bought piano, clay and organ, and just bought the one that gets you the layers. But mine is still light blue, is there a benefit in buying pro, or do I have everything the pro has at this point? I can’t seem to figure that out. Thank you for your help!

Great tutorial thanks. I set up a split however I want to be able to add a transpose into the split, without having to do this globally. Is it possible?

Thanks for the video. And a great step forward by Korg. But if you can't control each volume of the layered sounds from your midi keyboard, Sound Module is still a toy! Not for professional use yet.

Hello Doug, are you trying the KAPro monumental choir dreams plug in in Korg Module Pro? The sample they used in the Module pro app is limited and it failed to impress me to get it. I still believe Sopranotron is better and more flexible.

Hi man… great videos, thank you;-) A question… I downloaded the trial version of module performance expansion. I don’t however get the same first pop up menu with the layer/split functions that you do. It just goes straight to the preset menu… any ideas? Warm regards, Johnny

Hey johnny, not affiliated with the channel at all but I believe if you're using the trial/lite version you would have to buy an additional pack inside of the app that allows you access to the layer/split functions

@@johnnycorsie649 What was your workaround? I tried this a couple years ago (trial) and it didn't work. iOS 9.3 at the time, now using iOS 12.5. iPad air 1. I sent Korg support an email about all this, also asking if they could re-allow a second trial on some store, and they referenced this video today, which i couldn't find beforehand, strangely enough. I'll probably pick this up in the next few weeks if they run a July 4 sale. Someone above mentioned that you'd need to purchase an additional pack; at the time, i think the only pack i had was TRITON, but have bought a couple more since then. Looking forward to your reply! UPDATE 10 minutes later... That same Korg support email included a link to the Apple Store, which was obvious, BUT, it revealed (via Version History - 4.5) that as of May 26, 2022 - you can now demo these split\later features, which you could never before do within the Trial. 🤪😭😰🤑 I've been using iOS SampleTank in Live Mode for a few years; hopefully when i get this, it will be a nice addition.

No, you can’t use the layer elements, but you can use two of the Gadgets that use the Module sounds at the same time, or three, or four or more

Can we set up multiple midi chanel and save as user too ? Which package has that function?

How do you save when creating set lists and when adding to the set list comes up “untitled”. How do I change this or name the patch?

I want to use "Learn MIDI CC" to be able to adjust the balance (volume) between sounds LIVE, on the fly. Can this be done? IE: Slowly bring in the strings behind the piano. I can't figure out how.

I wish they had better bass sounds. Sampletank is kicking their butt...

Have you found a way to use Layers and Splits within any DAW? I see the Layers presets, but not the controls to create my own Layers and Splits. I’ve tried in Cubasis 3.5.1 and the latest Logic Pro for iPad and the controls don’t appear unless I use Korg Module Pro in stand-alone mode.

Korg Module only supports one layer in AUv3 mode. But you can, of course just use multiples of Module to achieve the same thing and you can set key ranges too, hope this helps😊

If you have already purchased korg module packs do they transfer over to the pro, or do I have to purchase them again?

Yeah they do transfer over. You just have to re-download them from within the Module Pro instrument.

I do like the live videos better than these except for the good ones......wait......I like them all! I wish they gave 2 piano rolls for each split.....this apps can be epic if they ask for input.......I use Gadget just for the MODULE kits...

So is this going to be US$40 after the sale ends?

Exactly... they need to drop the price and keep it under $10, they would quadruple the amount of sale of it in a short period of time , but they won’t do that.

help! I have the latest version Korg Module Pro on my iPad, however when I select the keyboard sign for a respective sound, I do not get the possibility to choose between single, layer and split. Anybody has an idea? Thx so much in advance!

I think this is part of the expansion pack. That’s the question that lead me here also!

Is there an octave piano?

I just bought the Module Pro with Expansion to be able to split the keyboard with Bass for lefthand and whatev on the right. However, the Korg Finger Bass program, which is the most common bass sound for most lefthand bass players, is unusable, at least by pro standards. The sample used on low F# up to B is a fairly bright sound while the other samples are dull. It's very obvious. I know Module Pro and Expansion is only about $80CDN but it's disappointing. C'mon Korg...

I bought Korg Module Pro for 54$, what did I get for the price? It looks like I have to pay to get packages?

Yes, that’s right, there are a lot of extras to choose from, but it does also come with a lot of great sounds too

I have one question. The Korg Module doesnt have the inter app feature so I am stuck with selecting instrument sounds I want, playing each note individually while recording the notes on comouter by adobe audition, then I must grab just the sound wave, save as C1, C#1 etc, then map in Music Studio. Is their a device on the market that has what I need to do music on the fly, while walking outdoors? Thank you sir generous of heart

A nice update but I think they priced it too high - halve the price and I’d be all over it.

PhilW222 I am with you. $20 is WAY TOO MUCH. This should have come built in Korg module pro at no additional cost to offset research and development I can see selling it for $9.99.

Is this an update for korg model app or do you need to buy the pro app?

It's an update with a change of name. The old Korg Module is now Korg Module Pro, and the Korg Module LE is just Korg Module now.

Frankly, I decided to not to pay for any synth app in the future that does not support AUv3... I bought several ones in the past (including Korg module) , but I can not integrate into my workflow in Cubasis or AUM so well. Ok there is the IAA as an option, but you know how big the difference is vs AUv3. It's a pity that Korg now offers 50% off for all the expansion packs in a summer sale promotion... I would definitely buy some if it was AUv3 :(

Interesting and useful, but overpriced for what it is. At the end of the day, unless Korg adopts the AU3 protocol, the future of their apps looks obscure; which is a pity, for they’re great apps indeed.
