Many older Indian women wear sari everyday. These are simple ones that are mostly made out of cotton. Young women generally only wear them for parties, festivals and weddings. These are very colourful and made out of silk, chiffon and other rich materials. Hairstyles vary a lot according to region and fashion. Hair can be tied up or left open. I have been to Korea and worn Hanbok too. It's very pretty just like the Koreans!

More than 5 ways are there to drap a saree. And in our country we wear it on daily basis. There are different types of traditional clothing in India, for instance, traditional wear for a girl child in southern India is full length skirt and top with a unique way of stitching, girls wear davani( half saree) during their teenage, and saree after their teen age. But these days we have adapted to north Indians dresses too.

In north India, lahenga dress (with embroidered dupattas) and suit salwar is more common on daily basis especially in Raj, Haryana, Punjab and on little eastern side, like Bihar, Jharkhand again Saree is worn on daily basis. I guess Saree is largely worn in India except North-Western or North-Eastern part, there too people wear on wedding functions etc

If you see nowadays Indian culture, it is fusion of traditional and modern culture. We do accept modern culture but we never forget our root. Yes, Indians wear saree in their daily lives and these aren't wedding saree. Also I don't think that girl is Miss India maybe she's just a model. Except saree there are other traditional dresses also and most of the region/state have their own way to wear saree.

In India they defs wear Sari more often than hanbok. Some older people still wear sari's 24/7 but it will be cotton and more comfortable. But now a days especially with younger kids we stick to more western clothes but when it comes to special functions young adults and older people will almost always wear a sari. In some aspects of indian culture especially with Hindus you can only wear a sari after your first period. Sari's are often worn to religious places like temples churches etc

These aren't per se modern sarees but they fall rather on the traditional side of sarees. They aren't in line with current fashion trends because the point of this show is evidently to show traditional wear instead of latest and relevant trends. You won't really find much people wearing these to weddings necessarily but these sarees certainly show a very little percentage of the cultural heritage of India (because there are so many more styles and kinds of sarees that it would months to cover them and they actually didn't really show a good variety either, it was quite lacking in this aspect) Also they take months of work, manual labour, creativity, super-expensive fabric and what not. They are usually very expensive if you are going for the authentic ones.
