Fairest of fair North Indian skin has a certain amount of pigmentation which makes them far more attractive compared to the bleached, bloodless and lifeless appearing skin of the locals. That is so very clearly visible the models on the catwalk. After all India does have complete range of skin colours starting from very fair but not quite white, to very dark. For whatever reason and IMHO saree does not suit white skin in the least bit. That white skin needs at least a coupe of years of exposure to Indian sun to grace a saree.

Being Indian I have a great respect for India 🇮🇳 and Indian Culture ❤ proud to be an Indian ❤❤❤

Why there is no mention of Andhra Pradesh and wonderfull verities that you may not realise shamefull thing.

After watching this video, I was convinced that our own people don't know how to showcase our culture and attire to western country people. 1st: models were looking depressed (opted for Indian models to represent) 2nd: sarees weren't draped properly with loose fitted blouse and visible petticoat in some 3rd: makeup was pathetic 4th: jewellery were used for namesake, no relation to the regions they belong 5th: many sarees looked repetitive pattern 6th: choice of color and design for the sarees were horrible (I believe even our grandmas had better design sarees) ONLY good part of the show was narration by the host..... When we only felt boring looking at them, I can understand why foreigners looked least interested. Need to say one thing to the organizers: kindly do research, hire good models and designers, select true vibrant color sarees and then showcase it to the world. We should be proud of it than becoming a laughingstock🙏

Loved the fact that they all were walking without heels.....and that red alta was just amazing..

This doesn't do even a lil bit justice to indian sarees. And They can only be rocked by Indian women

For my fellow Indians..who are saying that models are looking like dead person walking...They are not supposed to smile!..they are runway models not pageant models.. it's all about clothes..these models hv to walk with dead face..cuz the whole focus is to display clothes that they wear not them! It's their job..ppl really don't know anything about runway models😅 they are not suppose to steal the attention, smile or walk the way they want..their job is literally "walking hangers" for clothes 😄

I can't imagine any Indian woman wearing Saree and doing their eyes like that simultaneously. Sorry but the whole show looks so terrible. When we are showcasing our culture it should be our culture and not some gibberish mix. I don't blame the models because they certainly do not know how to carry Saree and walk as if they are in western outfits. But the organizers so to say the Indian embassy in London should have been more careful and respectful of presenting our culture.

Annoys me when we have such gorgeous ways of wearing a saree and way more amazing designs and this is how they choose to represent us.

This is insulting of saree . Like They didn't want to wear . Blouse was not fitted, no grooming , no presentation, sawl is dropping from shoulder, pallu is dropping from shoulder ,what was that??????? What was the goal of this show front of world??? Give a hounor or insulting ????

Nahhh they just wanna potray the beauty of the works.. usually when we tie traditionally it won't be put out as it is.. guess that's what they wanna achieve.. it's always the same during most fashion shows

True....it's not just a saree.. it's tradition , respect, culture , lot more.... The way they potrayed... particularly the walk.... awkward....

Seriously..the walk was so funny..i think they were uncomfortable and cant walk the ramp barefoot..i think they are used to heels amd suddenly they were told to walk barefoot

They are not used to walking without heels..

Models are not able to present the beauty and smartness of a women carrying saree..so sad

I was literally waiting for the lal par sada saree❤️

Beautiful and very elegant showcase of saree... Each saree describes an Indian women in her day to day attire

If they could choose Indian women for walk, that would be nice. Draping saree is not good. Blouses not fitted properly. Sarees are not up to the mark.this is not the way of showing our saree to other Nationals. Some more interest to be taken.

We have Indeed the best collection...that could make everone awe of us...but sadly models were not neatly draped and presented. A very mediocre show indeed!

The sarees were lovely but the models were clearly not used to wearing such garments.

I would like to take a moment applaud for efforts of all involved in this event.. 👏👏👏 Atleast they are taking Indian Sarees to showcase in foreign runways. 🤗🤗 The Sarees selected were beautiful and vibrant 💗💗
