@@A7XFan800 bandit is an identified enemy aircraft that is not engaging. Here's the two cases when bandit becomes hostile: 1. You're clear to engage by mission command; 2. You're being attacked, so you can engage in means of self-defense. In the movie, the NK MiG engaged the SK F-15s first, so it automatically became hostile. The SK F-15s had the right to engage, but the command consisted of brain dead people, and the pilots didn't have balls to tell them to shut up.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. At first it made sense, but the moment that MiG started shooting all bets should’ve been off. They caused more casualties by waiting for permission for that long.

@@legendwingz0161 A whole plan loaded with fuel and weapons is still a pretty huge thing to allow to fall in a populated area. Still think they should have taken the shot due to other reasons, but if all you care about are civilian casualties, they still made the right call.

@@katamariroller2837 Fair. But he strafed a bridge, parking lot, shot an entire screen down, and caused glass to fly into that office building and fall on others on the ground. I think at that point it cancels out if they had just shot him down. But that said all bets were off when they were fired upon anyway, let alone that the MiG pilot engaged across the armistice line.

@@legendwingz0161 9/11 showed what a passenger plane crashing into a building could do. If you decide to shoot the jet over political decisions, that is one thing, but to protect civilians´ lives and nothing else? Makes sense not to shoot it down while it was flying anywhere other than over the river. I mean, this is obvious movie nonsense, but if you follow its logic...

Just a few days ago, Our (Korean) F5 pilot crashed into the mountain. He could eject but he steered his fighter until crash just to avoid crash into civilians. please pray for him 🙏

Миг- 29 уже старый самолет, круто посмотреть как СУ - 57 раскрошит 2 жалких F-15, в таком воздушном бою вообще ничего не понятно. Со стороны Мига, 2 ф-15 можно было сбить путем системы наведения нескольких целей, а потом бесчинствовать как угодно. С военной точки зрения, сцена наитупейшая. Как Я понял, пилот Мига просто злой идиот, который потратил 3 ракеты на 2 машины и рекламный банер, вместо того чтобы сбить 2 самолета, а по самолетам стрелял с пулемета. По маневренности Миг-29 превосходит ф-15, но ф-15 догнал бы его. Одно скажу: на украине, самолеты МИГ и СУ прекрасно себя показали, как старые так и новые. Даже современный PATRIOT ничего не смог противопоставить КИНЖАЛУ, а он пускается с Миг -31.

The second the MIG fired the f-15s would have had authorization to return fire in self defense. The controller in this scene should be court martialed for incompetence.

I know. Like brass was so concerned about civilian casualties despite the hostile clearly not caring about his surroundings. Control should’ve given them clearance the second the hostile strafed that parking lot but decided to hold off on it, essentially taking the lives of 4 airmen in the process, and risked the lives of the rest of the combat team.

@@thiccchungo1041 you some kind of commie for Boeing? the F-15 was always a mediocre aircraft as it was designed to compete against an aircraft that hasn’t seen widespread service since the late 70s. Upgrades alone can’t make up for the fact that it is a literal brick with average performance at best.

Mig's cannon rounds can blow up cars on the ground but not the wing of an F-15. 🤔

This has got to be the most idiotic dog fight I've ever seen, and it's amazing because of it! I mean even the Death scene is so over dramatic, heroic and cliche! LOL This is HILARIOUS and FUN at the same time. So unrealistic, and I don't care! The Ace Combat music is probably what makes this so hilarious - the on screen dog fight is about as stupidly unrealistic as an Ace Combat game but so over the top at the same. BTW that MiG Pilot is a total badass, villian and skill wise. Geeze. He owns the hell out've the SK Pilots and even Tokyo Drifts a sky scraper with his exhaust for maximum level Chad.

I have come to dislike the bombastic dogfight scenes, in favor of the grounded and tense ones. But the Ace Combat music makes this very enjoyable. Good choice of tracks!

After watching that ground control single-handedly lose dozens of civilians, and a military pilot, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those South Korean pilots defected. That was the most incompetent ground controller I've ever seen, movie or not.

No matter how unrealistic any scene, it became fking real badass when Ace Combat bgm injected into

if this is how SK will defend seoul when it is attacked by NK, then SK will be in trouble..

I’d take the court martial and international tribunal for shooting down the MiG-29 then shooting his parachute full of holes

reminds me of the scene in Shin Godzilla when the JSDF not clearing their helos to fire because of a couple of people despite Godzilla already tearing through Tokyo causing thousands of causalities.

Shin Godzilla was being purposely obtuse however because the Japanese leadership really truly is that bureaucratic and afraid of failure. Shin was a brilliant critic of Japanese society and politics. This scene here is just for the lols and graphics XD

While this is a movie, ground crew are surely going to get court martialled and surely air training emphasises initiative than direct obedience to superiors nowadays, especially in East Asian flying schools after a crash in 70s with hundreds of casualties.

This scene reminds me of when my country, Thailand, had a beef with Burmese junta. There was a report that Burmese MiG-29 commenced strafe run on our rural civilian residences, but I just ROFL. The image shown was a car with holes smaller than 5.56mm bullet and damaged glass. I've never imagined that what we've seen in a movie could be more realistic than the real thing. For dummies who didn't know about what is made of an aircraft gun, most western bloc aircrafts armed with 20mm cannon, there is also some series armed with 30mm (A-10, Mirage), as for eastern bloc, most are armed with 30mm cannon including MiG-29. Now you know why I just laughed at the report of MiG-29 strafe run.

Holy shit this is good. Why haven't I heard of this movie?

The part where they say no civilian casualties and it cuts to a shot of children getting off a school bus probably 20 miles away like a scene from Man of Fire to show the imminent danger, I was cracking up haha.

What movie is this? Looks good for a Friday night with nothing to do.
