Thanks for featuring Korean Jumeok Bap, the possibilities are endless! Thought I mention that your "furoshiki" is actually a Korean "Bojagi" with Korean writings on it. And yeah, we use them the same way too. Just a friendly point from a Kor-Am.

I am not sure how I missed this video since Rice balls are one of my favorite. Your bacon and kimchi inspired me to make a samgyupsal rice ball: kimchi ,pork belly ,danmuji. I also make a veggie rice ball mushroom ,zucchini, carrot, onion seaweed is one of my families favorites. But we use whatever veggies we have on hand! When I accidentally use the wrong rice ( i sometimes forget and grab my long grain) and it wont stick I just make a rice bowl /fried rice by adding add a little sesame oil and soy sauce to the fry pan, then adding toppings like pork or beef and kimchi and diakon pickles. I also sometimes prefer the long grain when I do not have patience to roll a bunch of Rice balls. :)

The egg blanket idea was so cute; I think it would probably be easier if you made a thin egg sheet (the size on the pan), remove the egg from the pan, then cut the sheet into multiple stripes that will fit the rice balls, adding the thin piece of nori afterwards. You could seal the edge of the nori with water. I made some tuna rice balls a few days ago, can't wait to try one of the recipes in this video.

This is fantastic. I'm going to make these with my middle school students as "summer enrichment." Question: Can we make these the day before, put them in the refrigerator, and eat them the next day for lunch? Will they hold up well and not dry out if we cover them properly?

Honestly, every time we land into the airport in Busan, the gangway from the plane into the airport smells like kimchi, haha! Mrs. Eats said that Incheon airport, which is the large international airport in Seoul used to smell a lot like kimchi too, but these days, not anymore. So I'd go a little further than your husband and say that kimchee is on everything and is EVERYWHERE!

They're very easy to do, but if you're working with kimchi, make sure to wear some gloves or your hands will be red and will smell like garlic for days, haha! Have you made rice balls before? Yes, can't see what you create! I think these will be delicious, especially with your homemade kimchi! It's my pleasure to make these and I'm glad you enjoy watching them! I’m glad to hear that, Mech! Yes, things are going well here! The country never really shutdown like the states did. People stopped going out after the first couple of months, but now, it looks like things are back to normal, with the exception of everyone wearing masks all summer long. I have a feeling Japan will open up to tourism sooner than I expected, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens with the virus this winter. Well, next time you come to Japan, you’ll have something on your to-do list, haha! It was pretty good and I think you’ll enjoy it a lot!

I will agree that *most* American manufactured mayo is awful, but some boutique brands are very good. The best mayo is one you make yourself. It can be a bit time consuming but worth it. Japanese mayo is quite good though.

Instead of laying seaweed on to the pan, first lay egg and then lay the seaweed on the top of it! Or if you keen on toasting the seaweed, first do that and remove from the pan, lay the row egg then lay the seaweed on the top of it! Do you think it’s a good idea or not?

I hate kewpie mayo. I don't get the hype. It's got that chemical taste that many brands of mayo have. Also I find the packaging so inconvenient and wasteful. The bottle can't stand upright when after a certain amount is used and it's so hard to get the remaining amount out.
