As much as I like her response, here's some of the thing that is worth mentioning about halal food that she might have missed. Other than ensuring that the food does not contain pork, pig gelatin, pigs blood, alcohol, wine, etc, we also have to make sure the production or the food making process is clean, healthy and ensure the food does not cause any kind of illness. We also cannot eat anything that is still alive or die by itself, for example eating animal that got hit by a car. we also cannot eat from plates/containers/cutlery that has been used previously from non halal food, or use cooking utensils that are stained from non halal food (pork/alcohol) unless we clean them through a process that we call "Sertu" the term is used to describe the purification process of mughallazah najis (excrement) which are dog and swine by washing it seven times and one of the washing is with water mixed with soil, whether the najis is aini or hukmi. If it came into contact with clothing, body or place. now eating ethics for muslim , we're not only saying bismillah but there's actually a "dua" before eating and after eating. on seafood, yes we can eat seafood unless they are poisonous or include/mixed with non halal ingredients in the serving for example if they cook them with alcohol, wine or pork. so you may have questions like if muslims got stranded in a place with NO halal food resources, not even vegetables, like nothing at all, can they eat non halal food? then yes we can eat non halal food but only to survive. anyways there's so much more about halal, it does not only cover food, it can be products like bags, shoes, clothes, carpets, daily essentials, cosmetics, etc. It's a very long topic that even some muslims also take time to understand. I know some non muslims or ignorants would think these are a lot of "restrictions" but it's really not like that. It is also important to note that my response may differ from her coz we do not have the same background and the way islam is practice in her country might be slightly different from mine coz we followed different Madhab. Madhab is a school of thought within fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). The major Sunni Madhhab are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali. In my country (malaysia) The Islamic judges are expected to follow the Shafi`i legal school of Islam, which is the main madh'hab of Malaysia. Therefore, this is not really an easy topic to discuss especially without deeper knowledge of Islam, it even take me an incredibly long time to comment this because this is a topic of my religion and I do not wish to mislead people. However if you find any error from my response feel free to correct me under this post! Lastly I am very thankful and appreciate the effort of this channel for bringing more exposure on islam and muslims towards Korean! I know they were a lot of issues and stigmas that muslim people have to face not only in korea bc of our religion so this really meant a lot.

yes, even for body care (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.) and also medicines must go through a halal inspection process by the relevant assembly from the country where the product will be distributed and only then will the product have a halal certificate and be safely distributed.

And as you wrote, halal is a complex issue. Even after obtaining halal certification, the goods will change to haram if the method of obtaining these goods is not in accordance with Islamic rules. Ps: Correct me if im wrong 🙏🏼

No, she's right about just saying Bismillah. But if one forgets to do it in the beginning, they should say "Bismillah awwalahu wa akhirahu (I begin with the Name of Allah at the beginning and at the end)." [At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud].
Love the way she calmly explained everything😊
I think the muslim girl wants to explain more deeper, but she knows that there is context boundaries to non-muslim for understandable reason. Also she know that, she doesnt have more capability to explain more deeper for them. ❤❤❤ Thank you guys, so peacefull to see them
I love how they have a mhslim girl on here bc I heard that Koreans have a bad image of Islam and Muslim people and company's upload fake stuff about it to make Koreans go against our religion but its nice to see how they got along so well and we're also so respectful
As a Muslim KPOP fan it's so refreshing to see Korean people respecting and trying to understand our religion. Them saying "Bismillah" before starting to eat was the best thing I've seen on the internet today :))
omgg i would love to see more muslims in giggle bc it’s so entertaining 💗
This whole conversations and having meal together is so cute and heartwarming ❤ Especially the schoolboy and halmeoni😂
The girl explained everything excellently and answered questions well while educating others and making them learn about Islamic cultures. Props to her🙌
love how Deena clearly explains everything! MashaAllah!

I live in a muslim country. Amd I have never heard a muslim saying they've had horse meat for dinner. May be it is halal and I don't know. But if it's halal then why don't muslim sacrifice horses on eid ul adha? They slaughter animals like Buffalos, goats, sheep, camels.

@@user-rn4mv3yp7w I am muslim myself and also live in a muslim contry for Eid if we follow sunnah the best sacrifice would be a male sheep minimum of 6 months in age, camel minimum age 5 years old, cow minimum 2 years old, goat minimum one year old, the horse is not valid in Eid aladha the same way chicken ain't valid still chicken is halal, simply because the sacrifice should be from the Anaam ( i dont know how it translate to english الأنعام) wich are cows sheeps goats and camels.
Thank you for this video, literally made my day They're so cuteee, thank you deena for gives perfect explained about our religion, love the content so much😆
A beautiful episode that shows the diversity of cultures.. Some of the ignorant people here describe Islam as terrorism because their minds are cleansed because of the stereotype that some call about Islam.. Although there are many non-Muslims who dealt with Muslims and were friends.. Use your brains before speaking...
bring more arabian people this is so intersting to watch
deena's description is very good, its like fun hearing her explaination. good job deena
I'm glad I got to see Korean people knowing about Halal food and Islam 🥹
sooooo cute. we need more shows like this
we can make some korean food to be halal. replace pig meat (if the food using pig as main ingredients) with halal meat (beef, lamb, fish, duck, goat, chevon, mutton), not using any form of alcohol and pig (like fat, oil, gelatine, etc) in it, then you can enjoy the meal.
Knowledge of culture means diplomacy, understanding, global communication and connection hence more peace
They should meet a bangladeshi person and try bangladeshi foods too....as most of the bangladeshi's r muslim but our food is different from middle east kinda similar with india but have difference too...theres alot of bangladeshi peoples living in korea who is fluent in korean also making yt vidoes plss cast someone...........as youtubers like Mariam's mirror or Zafar niloy plsss giggle

this was so wholesome i love it
Our family has a really good, Muslim friend. She used to live nearby and we'd come over to eat often. She'd always hand us all of the leftovers, and even sometimes just came at our door to hand us leftovers of whatever they had been eating. It was always delicious! Sadly, she had to move back to her family when her mother got ill, so we couldn't see her often anymore. She's a really sweet lady and so is the rest of her family. I miss her. I wish it was easier to drop by and say hello.
Even Korean family use right hand to eat. So nice to see it
deena is so pretttty

All these individuals were strangers in the other video, now they're family. I love people sharing their cultures, part of the reason I travel a lot. This is a really cute vid, but also a reminder that nothing on the internet is real. When the halmeoni scolded her fake grandson for call her "halmoeni" like she forgot they were in character 6:40.🤣😂

actually there is one pray that usually recite before eat. " Allahumma Bariklana Fimma Razaktana Waqina Azabanna" the meaning is " O Allah, bless the sustenance you give us and keep us away from the punishment of hell fire"
Nice sharing❤
Another Dua that is often recited by many of us is the invocation narrated by Imam Malik that traces back to the Tabi’in (figures that met the companions of the Prophet s.a.w) Urwah Ibn Az-Zubayr: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Allahumma barik lana fima razaqtana waqina azaban-nar “O Allah! Bless us in what You have provided us with and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” --- By the way i love this content, keep it up!

I never think about how much of a feature rice is in Asian food, but she highlighted that by how many times she mentioned how different the rice was. Arabs usually use the same rice as Pakistanis and North Indians - Basmati rice, which only grows in Punjab.
