Overall, Pancit canton is tasty!!😀 And i'm sure that other Koreans will like too🍴 And there was a conversation during filming, calamansi is familiar with Koreans as diet drinks and liquid that can mixed with Korean Soju(alcohol). So, it was kinda exotic and not familiar to eat with noodles🙂 Anyway Pancit canton was good enough for me to buy it in Korea😁😁

I used to teach in a Korean institution in Alabang. We ate lakimi canton every weekend. Everybody hated chilimansi during the first few weeks but as the semester rolled by, the calamansi taste grew on them and the green variant became the most favorite canton at that school.

I like how the host actually cooks it in front of them instead of serving it already cooked beforehand. I also like how they gave their genuine ratings about it. I, as a Filipino, actually prefer the calamansi and chilimansi flavor. I usually also put calamansi over my pancit bihon, lomi, pares, and many more. I also like the snack called: "Cracklings" and "Mang Juan" which both have vinegar flavor. From their expressions, we can totally see the difference in culture. Still, I'm glad to know their honest side about what they prefer in each episode. Hello from Philippines!

This definitely is telling how Filipino taste is way different than the rest of the Asians. I mean if I'm not mistaken the Calamansi and Chilli-mansi is the most commonly bought here. Goes to show how we love sour, from sinigang, to vinegar in the adobo to the sawsawan.

the calamansi flavor is the one I thought was the original when I was a kid. The original was barely sold in stores or just behind the calamansi. I must say when serving calamansi flavor I prefer it slightly undercooked as the flavor is not good when the noodles gets soggy.. Also, after discovering sweet and spicy it has been my go to flavor. Even its soggy it tastes good.

Their reactions on Pancit Canton's calamansi flavor is pretty understandable. Haha. Koreans prefer salty and spicy food, while Filipinos love sour, salty, and spicy flavors. I was kinda nervous of what will they think about our beloved "pancit canton", cause in Japan, most of my japanese friends didn't like the taste that much cause its too salty.. and im aware that filipinos have one of the most strong and exotic tastes in asia. Watching this reaction was really interesting and I've noticed that most koreans do not prefer sour tastes. Probably the smell of lime may be too strong for them.. It just so fascinating that even when your asian, we all prefer different tastes, cuisines etc.. Well as a half filipino myself, i always prefer the sour and spicy chillimansi anways.. shipping costs may be expensive but i always purchase in bulks for these!! only spicy chillimansi for life!!

The story about the calamnsi is that the authentic pancit canton (pansit) usually have calamnsi as a side condiment in case it gets cloyed (nakauumay). Usually it gets fatty and the sourness of calamnsi compliments the flavor really well similar to how marinades of grilled foods in the Philippines are such as soy sauce and calamnsi. I think this in sight may justify it really well.
