Danny Fairbrass finds himself back in the UK on an amazing new Embryo Angling Water, Norton Disney, where he is joined by Team Korda members; Loz East, James Salmons and Katie Watkinson.
The 6 lake fishing complex is spread over 180 acre and is day ticket fishing, meaning anyone can fish here. A huge amount of work has been done, both in terms of the fish stocks and also in the banks to plant trees, not to mention predator fencing being erected around the whole site. In the, near, future it is set to become one of the best day ticket complexes in the UK, and this episode shows you exactly why as the Team Korda have some fast and furious action from some stunning looking fish.
Thinking Tackle OD is packed full of tips, tricks and edges that will 100% help you catch more carp. We have in-depth guides to using a Marker Float to find clear fishing spots, a Spinner Rig / Ronnie Rig how to guide PLUS loads of insight into the bait the guys use to catch large numbers of carp during a session.
The carp anglers split up into pairs on the day ticket complex, with Danny F and Katie heading on ‘Petitts Lake’, the lower stocked of the two lakes being fished but the one that has the bigger fish. Loz and James team up on ‘Billys Lake’ as this is more of an action packed runs water. Exactly how these two like it… relentless energy is required to maximise the bites and land lots of carp. As the two pairs get the rods out it isn’t long before they all start to get some action.
Episode 2 explores all aspects of tackling a Day Ticket carp fishing water. Essential skills from finding features amongst the weed on a gravel pit, and exactly what you should be looking for. How to bait up in a way that keeps the bites coming throughout the session, responding to changing weather conditions and the types of rigs that all four anglers favour for this sort of fishing.
If you visit and fish Norton Disney yourself then this video will help you to catch more fish, but the tactics and rigs used will also work on pretty much any similar waters in the UK. This episode is a very enjoyable watch with plenty of banter and wind-ups between the anglers, who all know each other and have fished together before. Expect lots of screaming runs, banter, bickering and some serious competitiveness.

To many people knock him, which is a trait of this country but to come from selling leads to being to put back and teach as many Anglers as he has how to catch more carp and care for them better the he deserves and OBE for services to Angling.

Danny great film nice lake but Katie needs to be in more of your korda films/series as women dont get the credit as they deserve. Their are some awesome female anglers out their so please please danny get Katie in more filming and that's push fishing to another level.

Great video certainly shows the fishery well. I spent 24hrs on Billys in feb. I blanked. Was told to use the 'fishery' pellet (which i might add looked nothing like the pellet in this video at all, so ive been mugged off there). Id definately like to revisit though but with different tactics. Great to see Loz doing the business. He is an inspiration!

Alex Gladdin they would be feeding a different pellet in February mate. Low oil and lower protein. Probably cereal based (wheatgerm) and not fishmeal.

do you guys lose your marker leads? I feel like whenever i drag something on the bottom i just lose it.... id love to learn the bodies of water i fish but i feel like ill lose 5 leads in the process. Unless all the manmade places in the UK are all snag free? I fish US waters that have a ton of chunk rock and snags and random things that slice you off and whatnot. Watch as many vids on KZread as you can. Walk the banks of your local lakes/ rivers and watch the water. Watercraft from your MK1 eyeballs aka your mince pies, tie up your own rigs, take a rod with you and a couple of spare leads and LEAD around and see what you can feel. If in doubt ASK. an angler worth his salt, WILL help you, if he / she doesn’t they’re not a fisherman.

Get down there, speak to Euan & the rest of the lads there who will put you right & assist you if you ask them. it is in their best interests to help out to the best of their knowledge/ability (they are good anglers in their own right). Keep things simple and use what you are confident in. Better to do the wrong thing well than the best thing poorly. These aren't ultra wary, riggy 40lb fish but young fish that may have seen a bit of pressure now, but are still catchable if the bait is in the right place.

Doesn't matter on big pits, you use the clutch when you lift into the fish, bait runners it would as you reel into them

Danny, Think you might want to carryout a undercover boss visit to ND been twice now in the last couple of months bailiffs don’t answer the phone thought it might be because they are busy but rang several times to find out when swims are coming available no answer turned up Saturday to be told we are busy got about 10 swims available after spending 2 hours walking around trying to find a swim turns out only 3 swims available bailiffs didn’t know when anything was coming free not good also don’t think it’s really fair to other anglers closing swims for VIPs example 9/10 on Turners This Week Spooner !thought this was a first come first serve basis don’t ever complain about anything in life but definitely seeing the cracks appearing at ND
I´m not sure about these "handpicked fish". Are they beautiful? Yes they are. But these and there brothers and sister have been the exception of the rule. In older days. May I forecast something? The plain yellow common will be a sought-after trophy. In 10 years.
Paid for my syndicate ticket at south ings its only got 15 pegs and they've sold so many tickets it's impossible to get on!!!!! Sown up by the same people week in week out, feel well ripped off!!!!!!!!
